WOW----A MUST HAVE!!
This board is fantastic, made by QUEST. It came packaged extremely well, it didn't have any apparent scratches or dings. The design is quite stylish and the board is extremely durable. Since it is a pro-board it measures 42" long by 10" at the widest point. The wheels are nice and wide and made with a super rubber compound. The brackets for the wheels must be made from a thick steel, because they are secured extremely well. I wanted to purchase a board for my 7yr old grandson, but didn't want something he would out grown in a couple of years! Upon recommendation from a friend, I learned it would be easier for him to learn too balance on a larger board. Besides if it was a great board and well made, it should last him a lifetime! So being very happy to have found the Quest brand, my grandson loves this board and seriously sleeps with. OH-MY GOODNESS

Nice beginner board
This is a decent pintail longboard. Great for beginners. Nice looking board. It has black grip tape on the top deck and an island photo collage graphic on the bottom. The maple deck is roomy (42”) for maneuvering and sturdy enough to support the weight of larger adults. It supported me just fine and I’m over 150lbs. I just wouldn’t jump up and down on it. The stock aluminum trucks and ABEC 7 bearings are decent but I would recommend switching out the bearings if you want the wheels to spin farther before having to push off again. It may be fine for small kids to play but if you’re using this for transportation it can become tiresome. But the wheels themselves ride smooth over bumps and cracks. Longboards are meant for cruising, racing downhill and transportation. Not for doing tricks and jumping off ramps. And they don’t really make sharp turns but you could loosen the trucks a little to adjust for this. The street we live on just happens to be on the top of a hill going straight down so there’s no sharp turns involved. If you want your board to last longer don’t leave it out. Store it inside. Leaving it out in the sun can make it brittle. If your board gets wet it can weaken the material and cause it to break. Just dry it off when you’re finished using it.

    What a ride!
Talk about bringing the good life back. This Longboard is the perfect gift for ANY boarder no matter their age or ability. My son doesn't do tricks on it, it isn't made for tricks, its made to be a cool, drawn out, laid back ride. The best description I can come up with for this is that its like cruising down the boulevard at sunset in a sweet convertible while the warm ocean breeze whips past as you glide down the street effortlessly. You can't look at it without smiling! The only thing missing are the beach-goers and those pesky Seagulls! Living in Pennsylvania, you only get a few GOOD months of skateboarding weather so its good to have the longboard for those times when the weather isn't being co-operative, as well as for an extended skate. Its comfortable and works with your body for a smooth and almost effortless ride. Island Sunset is like we have a piece of California in our community!

    Sturdy, stylish skateboard.
So my 12 year old son has had a blooming interest into skateboards after having a friend who was quite skilled with one. So I ordered this one to hope to entice him to learn and have fun. After receiving this, I was a bit surprised at how big it was. I didn't quite expect it to be so large. That turns out to be quite alright for beginners. Having a nice large surface worked well for my son to learn how to balance on a moving object. The grit on top creates a nice grip in combination with flat footed shoes, aka skater shoes. It is quite lightweight for its size, yet study enough to support some weight on it. The wheels are nice and wide and let the board roll along smoothly. The graphics underneath are vibrant and flashy, giving you a pop of color as you do your tricks.

    Awesome Longboard, very smooth ride!
From the hardwood deck down to the wheels this board is very well made and sturdy, definitely made to last. My kids are just learning to skateboard, and although this board is a bit big for them it works great because it makes them feel a little more steady while they are trying to ride, the smaller boards seem to slip out from under them much easier where this board is wide enough making it easier to balance. The look of this board is great, the "island sunset" photo collage on the bottom looks way better in person than it does online, I think online it reads a little more "pink" but it really has a lot of the sunset orange colors too. Also online they do not show the top of the board, it is a solid black non skid material that just has the name "Quest" written in blue letters. The ride on this board is very smooth, the wheels are a nice size and I love that the board is a classic design, which makes it much easier for me to maneuver, and like most kids that's the style I grew up with and what I am used too. I am very happy with this board, great quality and value, but mostly I love that my kids are excited about riding it, it's a great activity that gets them off the couch and out into the fresh air!

    Amazing looking longboard
This longboard is amazing. It looks shiny on top and at the bottom, there is the sunset print, which make it good for sports as well as a decorative piece when it is not being used. This is the first time I have ever been on a longboard, and I must say, I felt pretty safe when I finally gathered enough courage to get on it. It is the perfect length for me (my feet are size 6). It is long enough for me to have both feet on the board but not too long so I will not be able to drive it. There is only complaint I have about the board though. Unfortunately, it feels pretty heavy. As mentioned before, I have not owned any other longboard before and I am not sure how much a regular one weighs. Nevertheless, I can only lift the board for a few seconds and I don't think I will be able to take it with me to school and carry it from class to class. But that could just be me, I am not good at heavy lifting to begin with. Overall, I am happy with the product and would recommend it to a friend.

Excellent Long board for a beginner.
The Quest 42" Island Sunset Long board has a great overall appearance. The Long board deck is made out of seven layers of quality hardwood that lends just the right give for a smoother ride. The long board deck also sports quality black grip tape with the cool Quest logo one one side and great island sunset graphics on the other. The long board deck also features recessed wheel wells for "no rub" turning capability. The trucks are powder coated and have a unique reverse king-pin style design for better strength and durability. The 51x70 mm wheels are made from a high quality polyurethane, which makes for a smoother ride over some of the roughest surfaces. The overall design of the 42" long board is a "classic" for long distance "cruising". Whether cruising down the road to the corner market, cruising the beach trails or cruising the boardwalk, the Quest 42" Island Sunset Long board has a smooth comfortable ride. I am not much of a skateboarder myself, but the Quest 42" Island Sunset Long board with it's 10" wide deck makes it easy for even the most inexperienced beginner. I would very much recommend the Quest 42" Island Sunset Long Board to skate boarders of all levels of skill.

    Nice Longboard!
When I first saw the box this came in from walmart.com I could believe how large it was! It looks like it can hold a surfboard. So, please note - this is not a standard length skateboard, but a true professional quality longboard. The board has a really beautiful 42 inch deck showing pictures of sunsets over water. The picture I have included shows the peice of paper across the middle of the board - the deck itself is all pictoral. The board has nice blue wheels (70 mm by 51 mm) that match the board well. It uses aluminum trucks (6 inch) that appear to be built to last. The top of the deck is just standard black grip tape (nothing fancy), but should serve its purpose well. It also includes maneuverable reverse kingpin truck configuration, precision ABEC 7 bearings and hollow risers (4 mm). I noticed that out of the box, the wheels don't spin as freely as I would like, but that can probably be adjested with a little tweeking. The board also features wheel wells to prevent “Wheel Bite” while turning, making turns much smoother. All in all this is fine long board for a great price. You can certainly spend more on other brands from other stores, but I am really not sure you are going to get a better quality board than this one. Hope you enjoy it as much as we will.

    Great beginner long board.
I had my niece ride the Island Sunset long board and then ride a different long board. She said she liked the Island Sunset long board better because it felt more stable due to length of the long board. The wheels, bearings, and shaft are good quality. The only true way to test this long board is to ride it daily over different terrain.

    Impressive Quality!
I recently received this longboard. I haven't had it very long. I realize it's going to take A LOT of practice for me to look as cool as IT does. These longboards are a really cool concept that was put into action--surfboarding meets skateboarding. Nowadays, it is very hard to find good quality products that are well-made. This meets those old-time-traditional expectations AND brings a new-age creativity to life. The packaging on this was great. It was shrink-wrapped in plastic to keep it protected. The artwork is beautiful! I think it might be fun to just walk around with this to show it off, until my moves are show-worthy. It's very easy to carry, too. The top of the board is in that heavy grit/sandpaper-like material to prevent any type of slipping. The wood and hardware seem very strong and sturdy. The wheels are a very pretty clear blue that's soft-textured, friction-grabbing rubber. The ball-bearings of the wheels seem to be lacking though. I'm not sure if that's how they're supposed to be or not. When you spin them, they go rather slowly compared to what I was expecting. But it could be safer this way, or may be adjustable somehow. The pretty blue wheels match perfectly with the Quest logo and the blues in the sunset artwork. This was well-designed and very appealing to the eye. When riding it, it has side to side tilting capabilities. The tail of the board is angled upward to help with steering/changing direction. The dimensions of the board are around 42" long and 10" at the widest part. This board provides a smooth ride and rolls well over pretty much any surface.
