Good but hard to get
My dogs like this and it's easy on the stomach but the store doesn't always have it and sometimes not available to order. If Chewy carried I would get it from them.

dog food
i have a large breed puppy and the store substituted my dogsfood for senior dogfood of this brand i dont understand it said it was available online if it correct i could have substituted the dog food myself for something more appropriate i am not happy about this i paid over 150 on mybpurchace today

    I like how it's calmed my dog's belly down and my dog has a lot less gas and she eats it no problem with her other food everything above that I said was a problem I'm happy with it the dog food I will continue buying it as long as I can get it thank you!

    Did not sit well with our dogs!
    This dog food really messed up my dogs' stomachs! We have fed our dogs Pure Balance for close to 5 years now and I noticed the new Pro version in our local store. I thought it would be worth the extra money. I transitioned the food but this immediately disrupted both of my dogs' stomachs. Our male dog had an upset stomach for about a week, but the final straw was him having the runs all over our living room and then throwing up for about 5 minutes straight. I'm not sure what major ingredients changed but after a day of eating the normal kind of Pure Balance food both dogs were back to normal. I would recommend not buying this version of the food until the company gets something straightened out. Really wish I could get my money back, had to throw out a 30 lb bags worth of food.

    Decent food for decent price
    After switching brands for years, I had my older large breed dogs on Pure Select chicken and rice (I took them off grain free at Vet's advice) Dog food advisor rated as 4 stars which was good for me and my pocketbook. I recently adopted a 11 month old Great Dane from the shelter, was suprised this brand offered a large breed formula so I purchased this specifically for her. So far, so good. Her poops are consistent and solid and she's eating it. I also add boiled chicken, brown rice and plain yogurt as a topper. So..... My only complaint...Large breeds should have larger sized kibbles.

    Great food at an affordable price
    We adopted a very sensitive re-homed puppy who came to us seemingly very traumatized from her transportation and she would not eat. Even the food the previous owner had given her barely interested her. I went through a dozen different brands and flavors. I wanted a quality food and this is the first one she would eat on any kind of a regular basis. It has the quality ingredients of the high end foods but it's affordable as we go through a bag about every 10 days as we have two mastiffs, one about 215 pounds, the other 100 pounds lighter. For our big boy, I mix it with the canned food and he eats about 8 cups a day. Our smaller Boerboel only will eat it dry and eats about 2 cups a day. She very much prefers canned food, yogurt and cheese to dry food but when she will eat dry food, this is the one she will eat and since being on this good she has flourished. She's gained weight and is heathy and full of energy. The cons of this food is that the kibble is very small which our smaller dog likes but our big mastiff makes a huge mess with the smaller bits. It's also rarely in the store so I have to order it for delivery. Usually it take anywhere from 2-7 days but once it took I think 10 days so I constantly have to watch to make sure I order when we are about half way though a bag because I don't know how long it will take to get here. That's no one's fault, it's our world now. I think Walmart and FedEx do the best they can to get it here but we all know how ordering online works. Sometimes it's great and sometimes you wait.

    GREAT Dry Food
    I have been buying this brand for years. My Mastiffs LOVE this food and the price is great compared to Blue Buffalo!! Yes, the price has went up, but its worth it! Very happy with the ingredients. Well worth the money.

    Well I was really liking this dog food for my dogs, I just purchased it last week for $29 and now it's $39, guess I'll be switching. Since one of the reasons I liked it was the cost was great for the quality! But I originally switched to this because it was more affordable but on to the next!!

    A real life changer...
    This food has changed my dogs life. His skin was so itchy and raw. I tried everything to relieve his symptoms. Then I thought what if it was his diet? Sure enough, I changed his food and the symptoms stopped. He is regrowing his fur and has regained his youthful energy. He is more playful and back his old behavior, even playing with the younger dogs. I wish I had discovered this brand sooner.

    I can't say whether my dogs are healthier eating this variety of Pure Blends dog food but they enjoy the flavor. I had been giving them the chicken and rice one but switched to this because it's cheaper.
