Everything is great
This is a really nice set. I like to travel to Japan every few years, I like to pack lightly, and bring and extra bag inside on my suitcase. This is perfect for people like me who like to travel and bring back souvenirs and gifts for their friends. Everything looks really well made, and very nice quality. The zippers work well, they are easy to use, and work smoothly. The handle works really well, they extend a fair amount, and feel nice and solid. It seems to work well, and does get hung up or anything like that. My old bag had that issue, so I am happy to have nice new bags like these. The wheels spin really well, it’s easy to tow behind you when you are walking with it through the airport, or wherever you go with it. They are good sized, so this bag should go over bumps well. You can fit a lot of stuff is these bags, I hope to fill them all with souvenirs. These bags should work great for anyone no matter what kind of travel you are using them for.

Day 1 Broken Zipper
The zipper is extremely cheap on this luggage. I guess you actually get what you pay for. The zipper stripped the very first time we used it and it wasn't one of those situations where we were sitting on the bag trying to close it. The luggage was not even full and the zipper stripped. Don't waste your money.

    great luggage
    I love the entire 5 piece Protege luggage set. I purchased it for a trip that was hurried and I had nothing to pack in and definitely didn't have a carry on suit case so I grabbed this from my local Walmart through my app and I love it. You are getting more than just a cheap set of luggage because they have a 5 year warranty and under the 100 dollar price you should be pretty happy. I am

    Not Great
    So, I have had several pieces of luggage over the years. I have never owned any as cheaply made as this set. All five pieces truly feel like items I would find at a dollar store. The pieces look okay on the outside. But if you pick them up, feel them, or open them up, that is where you see the problems. Firstly, they are very lightweight, because the material is ultra-thin giving all five bags an overall flimsy and low-quality feel. The bags feel like if you put something heavy in them, the items will fall through. And still, that would not be just completely awful. I am not comfortable putting any personal items in the two large suitcases. The metal rivets or whatever they are called (the metal fasteners that hold the hard plastic parts to the fabric) are very weird. There are little pieces of something that can be scraped off of them. Several of them look like they were chewed up and spit out, like the machine that fastened them was slightly malfunctioning. So, there are some sharp parts on the metal fasteners. Also, the handles that you pull up on the larger pieces don't lock into place. The wheels work perfectly fine. No issue at all with those. So, I guess because this is a “value set,” they scrimped on almost everything.

    Lightweight and sturdy
    This is the most versatile set of luggage I have ever owned. My 15 year old son is extremely hard on everything, and he used the smaller roller bag for a recent air travel trip. I was worried he would tear it up, but it withstood his abuse with zero issues. The 2 roller cases both have large, easy access outside pockets. The wheels are quite smooth while pulling, and the handles move up and down with ease. No issues were experienced with zippers, which is so important on luggage. I do love the accessory bags. The smaller bag is just perfect for packing toiletries to slide into a roller bag. The largest of the accessory bags is absolutely perfect for packing travel necessities such as snacks, books and electronics. The large roller bag is just enormous, and will hold enough essentials for an extended trip, probably for a couple. The string backpack folds up into almost nothing, so you can have peace of mind of having a back up bag, without taking up valuable room. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this set, and highly recommend.

    Standard luggage; lower quality
    Generally, when you buy luggage, you want something sturdy, that will last a good long while. Not just for the years of family road trips, but especially for the less-than-gentle treatment that luggage typically receives from airline baggage handlers. I have concerns that this luggage will stand the test of time. The bags feel cheaply made and assembled. The "shoe bag" and the smallest bag, for liquids and carryables (pictured), are dollar store quality. The shoe bag is literally the kind of string bag that you buy in bulk for kids' crafting. Neither of those items are of much use to me. Overall, if you are an infrequent traveler, looking for a standard set that will be used occasionally on road trips, this will work for you. But the quality and longevity that I look for in luggage, is just not present.

    Great luggage!
    The Protege five piece luggage set is really high quality! The largest luggage is really big! It's bigger than any luggage I have ever had. I love that everything fits inside the largest luggage. It includes everything you need for travel! It seems like these will last a long time. For people who fly, I always suggest using colorful duct tape, ribbons, etc., to make your black luggage stand out and help prevent theft.

    Good set!
    This is a great luggage set to have and I can't wait to use it on our summer vacation. It is made very well, the 2 upright pieces are easy to roll and hold quite a bit. It also has a carry on bag, a toiletry bag and a shoe bag, all are durable and made well.

    Great Economical Luggage Set
    I tried the Protege five-piece 2-wheel value luggage set. This is a value priced set of luggage, and I am actually pleased with the quality for the price. The set includes what I would call a full size suitcase, a travel size suitcase, a small tote bag, a bathroom toiletry bag, and a cinch sack that is perfect for your dirty clothes. The two suitcases have handles that pull out so you can roll the luggage on tile or concrete. I am disappointed that the handle does not lock into position. If you change direction of travel the handle tends to push back into the suitcase. Additionally, I am surprised the suitcases do not what wheels that spin, they only travel forward and backward. I found the luggage to be plenty big enough for my wife and I to use for a short getaway. At this price point, I would recommend this luggage.

    Decent sizes of luggage
    I needed some new luggage for work. I didn't want to spend too much, but I wanted something that could last So far this is doing the job. The material does seem thin, but I have already traveled with 2 of the pieces on a plane. I took the largest size 28in as well as the next one down, 21in. These were able to easily take the weight of the clothes and items I put in them. The inline skate wheels were nice and smooth while pulling them around. There were 2 things I did not like. The inner lining is only connected by a few pieces of velcro It keeps coming apart. Also, the luggage doesn't have that extra zipper that allows the luggage to become 1 inch thicker when needed.

    I'm impressed! What a great deal! It accommodates all my traveling needs. The large suitcase with wheels, a smaller suitcase on wheels, a cosmetic bag, a light weight backpack type and another small accessory bag. It will keep very organized and well packed with protection. I'm so happy with this set! Stop shopping around this is THE SET!!!buy it!

    Thin and Flimsy
    This suitcase set is disappointing. It definitely feels like budget luggage. The construction is very light weight but I am concerned about its durability even just for the wear and tear involved in packing a suitcase. The bag walls are so thin that you can see light through them. If you had something sharp, such as a high heel, packed in your suitcase then I would be concerned that it would puncture through the wall and cause a loss of your luggage. The shoe bag feels like it's made with tissue paper. The shoulder bag is only slightly thicker fabric but has no internal organization. All of the pockets that the bags have are visible from the outside and are practically two dimensional. If you are somebody who likes to have your luggage carefully organized, you will need to provide your own organization with this set. I would not recommend this for air travel as you may find that you don't have everything you left with because your bag will have exploded at some point in handling. I would say this would hold up to an occasional road trip and overnight stay at most.
