A perfect dog house for our two 45-50 pound pups!
Our two mixed breed puppies, now 6 months old and growing, love the Petmate Indigo Dog House. Actually, even our Saint Bernard and Rottweiler/Bassett Hound mix can use it if they want. Mainly, we wanted a dog house for our pups to have a warm place in the winter and a cool place in the summer. The Indigo Igloo-type structure is perfect for year-round.

Poor shipping
I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.

    Ordered the 55% off with free dog door. Door didn't show up and now the price is higher (43% off) so they won't match earlier price or send the door. Dog loves the doghouse so it's a keeper. Won't be making further purchases from hayneedle.

    Best Dog House
    I foster puppies and adult dogs. All of the dogs love this dog house. I witnessed a rain storm come up and some of the puppies came inside the sun room while others just wanted to stay in the igloo. They were not at all bothered about the rain and stayed safely inside. Great investment and will certainly purchase more.

    The Best!!
    By far the best dog house for your puppies or larger dogs. I foster puppies/and adult dogs and they all love this dog house. The puppies all love getting in together. I witnessed a rain storm that came up and some of the puppies stayed in the house and as others ventured into the sun room and as I watched out my sun room sliding door, they were sleeping like babies and the rain never bothered them. I will most definitely invest in many more of these. Great investment. Connie.

    Recieved slightly damaged and scuffed.
    I needed the dog house so I did excepted it. I cleaned it up and was able to force bottom latches to close. Decription stated size was for a dog up 175lbs. I doubt that; I bought house for a 5 month GSD that is 55lbs and is except to be at least 100lbs. My dog likes it, and has a lot of room for now. The dog house is constructed nicely and a lot better design than a traditional style dog houses.

    does what its designed to do
    Our second xlarge for our new Pyrenees dog. The house is pretty big, maybe too big as the dog is 90lb but that's what the other pooch has and i wanted them to match. Solid design, easy to clean, unfortunately no attachment points for the mats but that's a seperate review on the mats.

    Beautiful, sturdy "igloo style" dog house.
    This is a beautiful, built to last ,"igloo style" dog house. The only problem - in our particular case- is the size: The XL model is not big enough for our English Mastiff. The doorway and "tunnel like" entrance area are too small and low for dogs the size of a St. Bernard, Great Dane or Mastiff. It probably will work for a German Shepherd or a Husky, as long as they are not very tall . But the item itself is very well built and is made with strong material.

    Great outdoor house.
    I ordered this dog house for stray cats that come around. It looks well made and hopefully will keep these homeless kitties warm during the cold winters in Ohio. I also received it soon after I ordered it. .It was a very good price and shipping was inexpensive.

    Shipped with broken snap
    It is a good house, but one of the snap that locks the top with bottom was broken. I think it was broken during the shipping because I saw broken part in the box.
