    Great product. I have one that is 8 years old and I got the same one for the new pup because my dog likes it and it has held up so well. Easy to put together, take apart

    Petmate Barn Home Large dog house
    Bought the Large Petmate Barn Home dog house. The Large size can be very expensive but I kept watching and finally seen it drop down to $79.99 so I purchased it very happy and well made dog house. I had the medium before but my dog outgrew it had it for 4 years no issues so I expect the same from this one

    Great, but for one flaw
    It is a great dog house but for one thing, and that is how the top and bottom halves are supposed to snap together. They don't !! It is not that it is difficult, but the fact that the plastic seems to have a memory and when put together they pull themselves back apart as soon as you let go of putting them together.

    Good quality!
    My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in... but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. I got it on sale, so I got it for a great price.

    Definitely buy here
    We have several of these houses we use for our pigmy goats. They work perfect and they love to climb on them! Oh and the price on hayneedle is a little more than half if what I have paid for the exact same house!!! Thank you will be getting more as our herd grows!

    Just right
    There is plenty of room for a large dog even an extra large dog. Snapped right together in seconds. I put a blanket in it and she went right in. I purchased it to keep in the garage so if she wants to go in and out she has somewhere warm to lay down. I have had it about 2 weeks and do not for see any concerns. She like enough that I find she's wanting to go out more but just to go lay in her dog house.

    Good for feral cats with simple fixes
    I bought this dog house to shelter a feral cat who lives in my neighborhood. As-is, the dog house leaks rain a little wherethe top and bottom snap together, and there's a small vent in back that can leak rain and let in more cold winter air. I read on the internet how to do a couple of simple fixes to make it right for cats. Apply silicone caulk along the rim where the top and bottom halves come together, and put a strip of duct tape over the vent slots. I took one star off my rating becausethe overhang only does a mediocre job keeping out rain. Petmate could easily make a cat version of the top with much more overhang.
