    I like it for what it is
    These cookies are pleasant, not sweet, but tasty. Not buttery, but kind of. Or should I say they do not exactly meet my expectation of a buttery cookie but I can attest to the effort made towards making this a buttery cookie. This In my opinion Pepperidge Farm are not meant to be overly sweat cookies and I can appreciate that. there is a subtle sweetness. in my opinion the flavor is not like an explosive (and I do not expect them to be, therefore I likehem for what they are) in your mouth, it is more so, light and subtle

    Why are they soo good !!!
    I haven't had one of these in almost 15 years for some unknown reason even to myself but I got them this past holiday and used it to make a crust for a rumchata pudding pie and it was o ur of this world !! I have since bought 2 bags and just snack on them with my coffee or tea I love the buttery flavor

    If you love coffee I recommend you have these with it. It's a great coffee appetizer. The hint of butter and sweetness just takes my morning coffee and starts my day off great.

    I use these cookies every year during the holidays. I make a delicious banana cream pudding and layer these on the top and bottom. They are delicious butter tasting cookies. They add nice flavor to my pudding but also they are delicious by themselves.

    Chessman cookies are some of the best cookies, they're our favorite Pepperidge Farm cookie! We like them alone, but if you want to make something almost everyone likes, make banana pudding and use these cookies instead of Nilla Wafers!! They're a game changer!

    Basically makes you a Chess Grandmaster
    I ate a knight cookie and right away my chess rating increased 100 points! The next game I played I found a beautiful checkmate using my knight! This continued throughout the day. I would work towards becoming world champion but if they discover the secret power of the Chessmen Butter Cookies they might ban them from competition.
