Best DVD player that I have ever owned
I am finding that there is less and less that i like to watch on cable and satellite TV, as I am not watching as many sports as I used to and I don't like a lot of the newer shows. Therefore, about 5-6 years ago, I started buying as many older sitcoms on DVDs as I can, which is my preference of shows to watch and started watching them every day.
Since I started playing my old Panasonic DVD player every day for the past 5-6 years and it finally bit the dust last year, I thought I would get another Panasonic, since my old one lasted about 15 years. I bought this model to see how I would like it. I have had this model for about a year, play it literally every day and I LOVE IT!
It was easy to hook up and it seems to have all the features that I wanted in a DVD player, so I am very pleased with it. The picture, sound, performance, quality and features are fantastic for the money.
I bought a new car last year, so I put all my music on USB drives. I had to switch the files from CD to MP3 files in order to put them on to a USB drive, so I could play them in my new car. Then I realized that I had a USB port on the DVD player, so I tried playing the USB drive with the music on it, through my TV. It took a little bit to figure it out, but I love being able to use this feature, when laying down.
My Mom had an old DVD player, which was about to bite the dust too, so I bought this DVD player for her and made her some USB drives with her music them, so she can lay down and listen to music while she relaxes. She loves it, as you can play the music on the USB drive n random order.
I have now bought this DVD player, which is my third one of this model for our spare bedroom, as I love it so much and do want to have a spare, if ever needed. I have owned about 15 DVD players in my life and I think this is the best one that I have ever owned.

Not sure why.. it had plenty of airflow and never got warm to the touch, yet continued to freeze and needed to be unplugged and plugged back in to work again.Brendon

It worked perfectly. Surprisingly easy to connect and operate. Everything went perfectly. Later in the day we watched a full length movie and several behind the scenes extras. Every part of the operation was flawless, very straight forward and most importantly very easy to use. We used our own HDMI cable that stays attached to our TV. Overall everything was superb Panasonic quality and we had a wonderful first impression day with our new DVD player. Our thanks to Panasonic and Walmart for wonderful quality, great and fast delivery, and great price. Also big thanks to all the folks who left very informative reviews. We have always been fans of Panasonic, but it was reading the reviews that helped us decide on paying a little extra for the Panasonic over some other great brand name DVD players.
