Fun Learning Games!
My son and daughter (5 &8) love the Osmo Genius Set! There are a lot of fun games to play within each app. They do not realize they are learning as they are playing! The set comes with a base that you set the iPad on and then a mirrored red piece that goes on the top of the iPad. The kids play with the different sets and pieces in front of them on the table. They then show up on the iPad screen. The pieces are boxed in nice plastic containers and include tangrams, letters and numbers pieces. Ipads do need to be taken out of the case if you have one on your device. I wish Osmo would make it so the iPad could sit on the base so that the iPad could stay in its case. Most kids have a case on their iPad to protect it from accidental drops. I love these educational games that my kids play. I have looked at the other sets that are available and plan to purchase more for Christmas!

Hit and miss
My wife is a 1st grade teacher and I thought this would be a great educational tool to bring into her classroom. She was very excited at the idea of it. Unfortunately, the product didn't quite live up to expectations. The words app works well for an individual or partner activity in the classroom, however, I wish you could control and adjust the settings a bit more. It would be helpful to be able to practice things like short vowels or consonants specifically. The Numbers game was very confusing even to adults who tried to figure it out at first. The kids struggled to understand what to do and didn't enjoy it as much as the words game. Some of the other apps could work well as a reward or fun activity but weren't as educational. The Newton and Masterpiece games, while entertaining for adults, are just simply too confusing for the kids to play at this age. They may work well for older upper elementary age kids. Interesting product and kids like the games they understand, but definitely won't be using it as much as I had originally planned. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Great Learning tool!
I bought this for my daughters who are absolutely in love with it. I love how it's a mix between tactile learning and technological learning. It's great how it bridges that gap. Both of my girls are in the age range listed and the levels are perfect for them and where they are developmentally. Their favorite by far is the Tangram. They love making animals and shapes out of the tiles. This was a great purchase.

    Best learning game ever
I got this a couple of weeks ago for my first grader. The day we got it he played with it for 3 hours and has played it everyday since then. He absolutely loves it and had learned so much from this game. We've tried other learning games and nothing ever kept his attention. I highly recommend this to anyone that has children. Osmo Genius Starter Kit
I do not know who loved this product more me or my 7-year-old son! I loved that my son was learning while he was playing on the iPad for a change, and my son just can not get enough of all the fun activities this app offers. Downloading and set up was super easy and quick, it only took a few minutes and he was ready to play. My son is learning shapes and brushing up on his math, all the while he is playing games, and with all the additional products you can purchase they are learning much more than just shapes and numbers. When the cousins are over they are all begging to play Osmo and sit around for hours playing/learning. Well worth every penny spent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
