Great value deal for these specs
If Walmart continue to sell laptops at this spec at this low price point ($999 for the 17 inch OP laptop), look out everyone!!! You guys literally made my Christmas. I've partitioned mine to dual boot WIn 10 and Kubuntu (need to install latest kernal on Kubuntu to get touchpad to work). So far it' dealing with all the games well enough. My favourite part is the mecanical, back lit rainbow keyboard. Screen is bright, sound is good (but you need to play around with the Soundblaster settings). Hands down the best value laptop I've ever purchased. Because this is a generic chassy, you can upgrade the battery and use other vendors' bios and software. Bottom line, I'm very pleased with this item. Well done Walmart. Also it's pretty much the same size as my old 15inch laptop, but only with a 17 inch screen.

steer clear, components will fail.
the laptop was great at first, it's now about 5 months later and the hard drive has completely failed. The return window is passed and there are no numbers to call to make use of the so called "2 year warranty"

    Problems anyone?
Problems anyone? Anyone having the issue in 2021 where the laptop screen flickers at high brightness? And if so anyone have a fix?

This laptop is lovely and performs as advertised. I do have a few issues with it, though. Mainly, the laptop will not function well unless I have it plugged into a power source. It seems that the battery is just cheap, which I sort of expected. What I did not expect, however, was for the adhesive for the screen to start failing a few months ago.

    blue screens all the time
I bought it for 02/04/2019, it is a good computer before the blue screens came out. During these two days the blue screens all the time when I try to open it. And it shut down and restart by itself over and over. I try to set up the system but it still blue screens and restart over and over.

Unbelievable value - plays SEKIRO at max settings
I game occasionally and work on data science, so I can comment on performance on both aspects. On the gaming side: this is a ridiculously good laptop. Runs SEKIRO at max settings with no hiccups, as well as XCOM2. On my work, runs R/Python/MATLAB flawlessly, producing plots and results super quick. There is absolutely no way to beat the value provided by this laptop. A 32GB laptop is probably double the price (at least). Plus you get the 144mhz matte monitor, full mechanical keyboard with every key having RGB capabilities, a decent trackpad, insane speed, a gaming laptop that actually looks good... Also just look at the size of it. It's 17" but the bezel is extremely thin, so this OP laptop is barely larger than my 15" (2017) Macbook Pro! When connecting a second 144hz monitor, there's no lag or any performance issues. Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If I had to think of anything negative: the keyboard has a tiny bit of lag, so you can't write furiously fast but that's fine. Oddly it makes me type in a somewhat more deliberate way. Also, the speakers are not super loud, but the provided Sound Blaster center improves them a lot. Webcam is subpar but I hardly use it. Finally, when I just opened the laptop, it had a bit of trouble connecting to WiFi, which lasted about 2 minutes. After that, I have connected to multiple networks with zero issues. If this ever restocks again do yourself a favor and buy it. Just do it. I honestly can't believe they put together a laptop with so much value at this price point! Also the difference between the 15" and the 17" is probably +$100-$150 but with double RAM and 17" screen, I would just pull the trigger on the 17"!

    Great Value and Excellent Machine
This is steal at $999.00! The build quality is excellent and it delivers in both speed and crisp, vivid monitor colors. Only drawback is that very little documentation comes with the laptop. Currently looking to get an Intel Mater Key so I can redeem the esports game package advertised. Sent an email to support, so we'll see how they respond.

Cannot beat the price for this quality!
What an awesome deal! I was planning on getting a decent laptop with maybe like an 1050 Ti with decent processor or hard drive because that's all i could afford but looking everywhere I couldn't find anything near this value for the specs it provides. Like most people I'm skeptical of a new brand especially made by walmart, but I was willing to give it a try because I can't afford the super laptops and with the hardware included it sounded like a steal. So i got it and so far so good. I personally enjoy the keyboard I know a few reviews have nitpicked about that but it's fine for me. The only downside about this so far is the sound. It's not very loud at all but overall this baby runs great so far but I got the extra warranty just in case. Of course I'm so super computer guru but I think you'd be satisfied grabbing up this badboy while it's at 999. Hopefully they'll keep it that way I think a few months ago it was around 1600.

    Awesome gaming laptop
Awesome laptop for a fraction of the MSI stealth I was going to buy. Ran every game on extreme settings super smooth. Ignore the bad reviews and buy it, this one is a winner.
