Persistence paid off!
Finally managed to snag one at this price after checking daily for week! Incredible bargain as the Keyboard/backlighting are great, the screen is incredible, great performance with gaming and photo editing Cons: +edges are indeed pretty sharp +audio is a bit quiet overall +battery is weak But those are pretty minor issues i expected upon order, 5/5 Very happy with purchase!

DO NOT BUY!
Absolutely horrible software, do not buy. Battery life is horrible and the PC is extremely unstable. Right after my warranty ended my Keyboard broke, and the PCs software keeps forcing the laptop to reset and reboot. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!

Not recommended and won't buy this brand
The price point was great at the time of purchase. This machine gets overheated easily and it is very heavy. I have a black line on the screen within a month but I didn't want to go through the RMA process. Also I have all the latest bios and firmware. For me, the biggest issue with this laptop is that it constantly automatically shuts itself off without any warning when I started playing game. I play Heroes of the Storm which is not GPU / CPU intensive and really annoying when it happens (it happens very frequently even if I had turbo fan mode on / physical laptop cooler).

    Wish I Never Got It.
Have had this laptop, but only used it for school until recently I've tried some gaming, because that is what it is advertised for. Unfortunately this laptop can't handle it despite the specs because the laptop gets unimaginably hot even just on discord calls. Battery would start not charging. Checked power cord because my brother has the same laptop, but his actually works and doesn't seem to be a power cord issue. Sent it in for repair under the warranty and took about three months before I got it back. Nothing about it was fixed no parts were replaced it took them three months to factory reset the computer and call it a day. Nothing has been fixed quite literal trash at this point.

This whole computer is basically a joke
This was the worst computer I ever had. It is so hot it has literally burnt me, the edged are sharp, it overheats like crazy. It crashes nonstop, literally. It comes and goes in waves, but the hardware began failing shortly after purchase and I sometimes got up to 10 crashes a day (on very rare days I easily hit a boatload of 40 crashes, sometimes crashing while it was booting). It calls itself a gaming PC but just playing Skyrim causes it to go crazy and overheat, and often the computer just shuts off. The screen is janky, the display has issues that come and go and require the brightness to always be set to the lowest setting, the audio quality is garbage. Gaming is impossible when even 10 year old games freak out my GPU and make it near IMPOSSIBLE to do anything worthwhile, Skyrim has so low framerate that it is unplayable. Sometimes the Wifi won't turn on for some reason. I feel cheated out of my hard earned money.

    Pretty nice
I like this laptop and I use it every day. It's lightweight and the screen is beautiful, plus I was able to get it on sale. I had to send this in for warranty just within a year, but they were very responsive and was able to service it quickly. Fantastic customer service on their end. The only gripe I have is the keyboard layout and spacing, I find myself hitting the wrong characters, but other than that, they keyboard itself is nice to type on. Laptop speakers could be better.

Don't let the name fool you
This laptop gets a lot of hate from the PC community, but let's make it clear, this is not the same as the OP desktops. Tonfang manufactures these for Walmart and Walmart puts their name on it. Some of the branding might be garish, but under the hood this thing is a beast for a laptop. With some light tweaking, the i7-8750H really shines (See pic). Same specced laptops in the same chassis from other system integrators are well over $1100. At $799 this laptop is a steal. Grab it while you can.

    Linus Tech Tips recommended
Everything you need to know about this laptop you can watch from this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q13t_r8o4rY Caveat: get yourself a dual channel kit or just pop in another 16GB stick to make it dual channel to avoid throttling. Other than that, for $800 it is a great value proposition for the parts that you're getting. Keep in mind it is still a plastic chassis so you do have to baby it a little bit. Regardless, if you treat your gear well, your gear should treat you well as well. It's a policy I've always tried to keep with my own personal gear (as well as people). Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. Happy Holidays and Happy Gaming. ;-)

Everything I ever wanted in a Laptop
It's actually everything that I ever wanted in a laptop. A sizeable 1080p matte screen, yet a very manageable form factor, responsive and fast in performance mode, yet also has long battery life (6+ hours) when running in power save mode. A back lit keyboard with number pad (programmable back lite is very cool), dedicated graphics card, fast ssd and also large hdd. It has all the ports I wanted; hdmi, ethernet, usb3, sd, headphone, mic. There will be fan noise while taxing the cpu and gpu, but I think it's normal and I usually have earbuds on anyway so it doesn't bother me. At least it doesn't overheat like my old 17" Macbook Pro. Built in speakers are equivalent to most phones, but I don't ever use them since I usually use earbuds or a sound system. I actually like that they didn't waste money on trying to get "good" speakers. They also didn't waste money on a touchscreen nor some kind of gimmicky way for it to be folded into a tablet form factor. I like that it's a generic design. If you don't like the logo, just cover it up with a sticker.
