I got this game for my 2 boys for Christmas and they loved it....great choice for kids so yes i would definitely recommend this product.

Good entry level handheld gaming device
We bought this for our 6 year old for Christmas and he loves it. Our other kids have had DS's that fold and we quite like that there is no hinges. It also works withe all the 3DS games but in 2D mode.

I was kind of nervous at first because I heard nintendo handhelds tend to have trouble with connecting to the wifi but luckily my wifi was detected asap and connected with no problem. Sorry for the run on sentence but I am just absolutely in love with this and never felt happier! Definitely recommend it!! I just wish 2ds accessories were more popular. :( However, the screen and touch screen is pretty durable. Actually, the whole console is pretty durable imo.Bellorie
