KIDS LOVE IT
My girls are having a blast with this. We've tried quite a few instant snow products and this one takes the cake. Not only does this make a ton of fake snow, it's much less sticky which is a huge bonus for me. Clean up is a breeze. I lay cling wrap on our island or table and let them go to town. When they're finished, we scoop it up, put it in Tupperware and toss the cling wrap. Also, my girls have added this to their slime with success.

Not much to it
I'm not very impressed with this instant snow kit. It comes with 1 scoop, 1 breaker, 1 instruction booklet, and 1 container of sodium polyacrylate (aka the stuff in baby diapers and maxi pads that absorbs liquid). If you want to do any of the other experiments, you need to buy a black light, tonic water, antacid tablets, saline contact lens solution, on and on. If you don't buy or already have these things in hand, all you can do is make "snow", which doesn't really feel like snow. If you've ever handled the insides of a wet diaper, then you've already experienced this kit in its full capacity (just what's in the box). You can add other things to make basic slime or glow in the dark slime or expanding slime-in-a-bag, which if you're buying a lot like this, you've likely already done. On the plus side, the kit includes enough powder to make the other concoctions *as long as you buy all the other stuff*. I think I'd be pretty disappointed in this kit if I had actually paid for it.

Simple experiment, I love the concept.
This is great fun for kids who likes to play with snow indoors or does not have snow in their area. I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old niece and she loves it! One scoop makes a lot of snow however, it can get messy. I would recommend having the children keep this only in the area that they are playing for easy clean up. I also like that there is a learning guide that provide scientific information for the kids.

Good mini-experiment for ages 7- 8 who are curious and maybe bored, and a great price.

    Great family fun!
There are so many fun projects and fun that you can have with the kids that I couldn't take pictures. It comes with a guide with all of the different wats you can make it into one form and the into another. Highly recommended for all ages. It's a blast and learning at the same time.

feels nothing like snow but looks like it
Rather than just play with it it will be useful for projects in school that require snow in some crafts. I was thinking it will actually be ice or some substance that would feel cold like ice or snow. It is just a bad-smelling polymer which just looks like snow and is not like snow to touch.

    So cool!
So easy to do and such a cool end result. Plus there's a book with lots of different things you can do. It's kind of messy, so definitely recommend doing it outside. Keeping my 7 year old daughter busy for an hour now playing with it. So fun!

    Fun family science activity!
This National Geographic Science Magic Instant Snow Kit, STEAM Toy Kit is an awesome set! My husband, daughter and I had a great time making and playing with the snow! We also did the beaker eruption, which was pretty cool. My daughter is 6 and had so much fun! The set comes with a lot of the mix, so we'll be trying out the rainbow snow, glowing snow and the exploding snowman next. The set provides lots of fun plus educational opportunities. It comes with a booklet with ideas, science facts and an area to write about your experiments. I highly recommend this set and can't wait to check out some of the others. *I was provided a free product from Walmart Sparkreviewer, but all opinions are my own.

Fun for middle schoolers and preschoolers
My preschooler was super excited when this came in the mail. He and my middle schooler worked together to create snow. The only thing is they wish it was cold. We've decided to buy some small holiday figurines and create a wintery wonderland for Christmas!!!
