My Kids LOVE this kit!
This National Geographic Science Exploration Earth Science Kit is AWESOME! Especially if you have multiple children in the home. The kit comes with five different experiments/activities. I let each child pick the one they would lead but the whole family still gets to enjoy! Great educational family time! The book that comes with the kit is full of facts that relate to each activity. I highly recommend this kit!

    Great kit
    This is a great kit to have if you want to have an activity to do with your child/children. It is a great way for you to bond and learn at the same time. I found this set to be extremely helpful it was educational which was a big plus for me. I'm hoping they have more sets.

    Great Stem Projects
    everything comes in the box. Only things that you need are common items from around the house, such as water, measuring cup, disposable bowl, newspaper, etc. Trying to snap the volcano mold together was tricky. My 8byr old couldn't do it and I barely could get it together, plus it hold together with a rubber band, this could have been made better and actually snapped into place. Its needs to be made thicker. My child stirred the plaster mix too long but it still had clumps in it. So by the time he smooth it out, and tried to pour it into the mold, it hardens. We wasn't able to complete that project. The growing crystal project takes over a week to complete. All the projects take a while to set up and actually do. Adult supervision is definitely needed. Even the rock digging project ideally needs to take place outside, so you need a nice mild day to that one. This box comes with 5 projects but you need to plan it out ahead of time. Becuase you need to be able to gather the materials, such as 2-2 litter soda bottles to do the tornado project. This is a great box to buy during the summer and take one projcet per week to do and keep the kids engaged and also teach them patience and follow through.

    my kid absolutely loved doing everything in this box! It comes with easy to read instructions for everything, as well as a book about the different rocks that you will find with the kit as well. They thought growing their own crystals was the best. I would definitely buy this item again for the kids.

    Wonderful Science Kit, fun times!!!!!
    This is most definitely a family's dream , especially if you are anything like me, and are tired of the electronics. National Geographic has outdone themselves with this kit. I really enjoyed that it was a kit that had several awesome activities. The crystal experiment was so awesome, and the end result was so beautiful. I felt like it was a mini version of Elsa's castle in the movie Frozen. The gold bar experiment was also cool. I really felt as if I was "digging for gold" . The volcano by far was the most epic part. I would recommend to be patient with the molding, it took ours about a day to air dry. Yayyyyy, finally something cool to get us out of this bizarre year of 2020 I recommend anyone to use these kits.

    Science Explorations Earth Science Kit Review
    My family received the National Geographic Science Explorations Earth Science Kit at no charge in exchange for my family's feedback and insights. My husband and I were excited about this science experiment kit because, we figured we could do the activities with our children during our Sunday family night. After testing out the Science Explorations Earth Science Kit, my family found several things that we like about it. We like that this kit was was neat and organized upon arrival, the directions were clear and easy to understand and that the activities were creative, worked well and required little clean up. We honestly cannot think of anything that we disliked about this kit or how this kit could be improved so, we think that National Geographic's really hit their mark when creating this product. If given the opportunity, we would recommend the National Geographic Science Explorations Earth Science Kit for any child who is eight-years-old or older. It is also a great kit for any family because, it can make the perfect activity for family night. Since my family had such a positive experience with this National Geographic kit, I am definitely interested in learning more about what other kits that National Geographic's offer.
