Bought this sealer after reading some good reviews and now I'm wondering what the source of these reviews actually was. I was looking to replace my older, worn out vacuum sealer and unfortunately, I chose this one. It just plain didn't work well. Was difficult to get it to pull a decent vacuum, and when it would, the bag would lose its seal. After an hour or so of trying, giving it a chance to cool off between attempts, I gave up and pulled out my old one which, after years of use, worked so much better. Look elsewhere

    It takes a little practice, but works well. Nesco told me they do NOT offer the advertised canisters or tube. The device is larger than I thought it would be, be sure you have kitchen space.

    I liked it so much using my brothers and I finally got mine after a big ordeal and many hours calling and checking ,only to get mine and does not work correctly. I had to send it back and I hope a new one comes soon.

    Excellent!
    I love this sealer. One hand to seal is so convenient and easy. I would highly reccomend this sealer if youn are tired of having to use two hands to seal a bag.

    So far, an excellent purchase.
    I like the handle to close the machine, I like the count down of time remaining and so far it seals nicely. It is an improvement over my last machine that stopped short when I tried to vacuum and sealed.

    I was so excited when it came, I have sealed the meat and corns the next day ( Aug 25th ). It seemed seal good, tight. I have removed the packet of meat from freezer to the fridge yesterday, in this morning (Nov 2nd)I found the meat thawed out, the bag was still seal but not tight any more. Does it suppose to work like that ? I have expected the food should be still sealed tight when it thawed out like before I freezed it. I wish I could take a pictures of the bag before I cut it and post it here, so people will understand what I am talking about. This is my 1st time to buy and use this product, I decided to return it.
