Great Doll - Diversity Friendly
Well made - pretty indestructible; nice feel, easily dressed, articulates well, hair is soft and rooted securely. Mostly, I appreciate this company (and Walmart) for carrying a diversity of dolls and dolls of color. This doll is supposed to be a boy (which is great) but could also be used to encourage girls to be comfortable liking sports and be OK with short hair. They don't all have to be a princess.

Decent doll but could use some updating
My son was thrilled to get this boy doll but I feel like the doll could look better. My son wanted a boy doll since all his cousins have girls dolls and this doll made him happy and feel included when they pretend play! However, this doll could use some updating. The hair style is very outdated and was inserted into the head awkwardly. I hope that in the future, the dolls could be made with better hair styles to match today's hair styles or at least be inserted into the head better so that it doesn't look as bad. It was also disappointing to me that this doll doesn't come with accessories like the female version of these dolls either. It would be cool for the doll to come with some sport equipment at least. The doll does comes with shoes, socks, outfit, and sweatband. However, my son is happy with the doll and that what matters. It is the perfect size for him to carry around since it is 18 inches long and is able to carry it around with no problem. The doll is durable and strong and has lasted through my son flipping him, throwing up, dropping him with no scratches or any limbs breaking off which is great and almost makes up for the fact that the doll has a weird hair style.

    Great affordable doll option for boys or girls
    My 7 year old son really wanted to get "an American girl doll that looked like him" for Christmas to play with his friends and cousin when they played. After exhausting, expensive searches, I ended up on Walmart.com (where I probably should have started) and found this one. He fit the bill at the right price! The size is the same as the name brand dolls, so all the accessories/clothes work well with it, and, did I mention a FRACTION of the cost? The doll is 7 months old now and still gets plenty of use and has held up well without issue. I do wish the hair looked better, it's the only thing that doesn't look as well put together as the name brands, but for the price point and overall use, it's perfect.

    The My Life As 18-inch Poseable All-Star Doll, Brown Hair was perfect to give to my grand daughter whom plays soccer, she related to the doll. 18" tall, this doll is perfect for the young sports player. A pretend soccer games started with numerous dolls involved. This doll is dressed in basketball attire, and the clothing is all removeable. Life like brown hair with eyes that open and close, he is a handsome little guy.

    Great Sized Boy "Kid" Doll
    This boy doll is perfect and will be a welcomed present by our son on his birthday next week. Our son looks forward to being a father and enjoys playing the role of daddy to his dolls--taking care of them sweetly and making sure they get their naps, too! He just got a bathing doll a week ago and loves it. Now it's so close to his birthday, that we're just holding on to this doll for a present. This doll is a nice size and weight (not too heavy given its size). It has great accessories, which will be useful as our son role plays being a parent and taking care of his “baby.” Although this doll isn't “a baby” I can see our son thinking the doll is a toddler. Doll and pretend play is so healthy for children—it gives them a chance to practice responsibility, role play being a parent, and showing kindness to others. The arms and legs move, and the head turns. However, the arms and legs only bend at the shoulder and hips--they don't bend at the elbows or knees. Most children's dolls are like this. This will make it easy to dress and undress the doll. Pros: *well made *nice accessories *good size *super soft hair *boy doll *sporty doll Cons: none I recommend this doll!

    This basketball player stands at about 18” tall. It was nice to see this male option so my son could be represented and feel included as well. We like to write plays and are always looking for more characters to add for our creative play. The socks, shoes, and velcro tank top are removable, so if you have more outfits you can easily change out the clothes. The hair feels great for doll hair and my daughter almost immediately gave him a new hairstyle. The arms, legs, and head move and has inspired the kids to make a stop motion video of him playing basketball. Overall, we are more than pleased with this guy and look forward to getting more characters soon.
