Been using this for years
I've been using the kneeling chair for 30 years and bought several of them. To me it's a back saver. This chair is solidly built with sturdy wood. The seat and knee support are good, but if you're on the heavy side you'll feel pressure and discomfort in your knees and shins.

For women and children only?
First, let me say that this is generally a well made, good quality chair. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it does not work well for larger people. I am 5'10, about 190 and it didn't work for me. It has 4 height settings which is a plus. At my height I had to use the second highest which put my seat about 25" off the floor or about 5-7" higher than most chairs. So I was towering over my desk. Also, the higher the setting the more weight is on the shins and there was not sufficient padding for me, at my weight, in this setting. It became uncomfortable after a short time sitting. Of course this would have all been even more of an issue at the highest setting. Another issue is that the knee rest is not wide enough (for me anyway) and I needed to squeeze my knees together a bit to not be on the edge of the cushion.
On the plus side it felt sturdy, set up was easy and it did feel good on my back.
Judging by the many good reviews (which I see now are mostly from women) I would recommend that most men and larger women should probably stay away from this chair. Just my 2 cents.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/26/2021Great kneeling chairI purchased this kneeling chair early December 2021, and have been using it for almost a month. I do not have back pain, but my legs do get tired. It is great as I sit too log when I use a standard chair, and you have to get up to stretch your legs when using a kneeling chair. I find myself better energized as I go between standing and kneeling. Best chair ever!CristinaY

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/08/2021Beautiful chair and great for postureBeautiful Chair! Well made! Perfect for at home office working. Keeps you from slouching and really strengthens the core and lower back. I am long-legged and it is not a problem with this chair. It looks like it came from IKEA, very pleased!OnlineShopper

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/10/2016Great for the price, exactly what I was wanting.I had been wanting to try a kneeling chair for awhile but was hesitant to spend the money if it didn't work out. This chair is sturdy and adjustable yet reasonably priced. I have been transitionin well to it. One thing I would recommend if you are on the heavier side, like me, is to add some additional padding so you can keep working a bit longer before getting up to stretch your legs. Since its healthy to get up from a desk every hour at least to move around, using this type of seating does encourage that habit. As a graphic designer, this change has help me be more aware of posture and length of time I sit in one position. My back already feels better.LovetoDIYDecorate

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/31/2013Great chair!Always wanted one of these kinds of chairs. Package arrived and was easily set up in about 10 minutes. I am only 5' so I prefer to keep the chair on the lowest setting but sometimes will use the middle setting too. I like that this chair feels very sturdy and I am not at all afraid of a collapse. The padding is sufficient for both my knees as well as my bum. Am thinking of getting another one to use at the kitchen table too.WalMartShopperInTracy

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/18/2013Try for yourself. This particular Kneeling Posture Office Chair went together easily and looked fine. Possibly all padding could be a lot better. Memory foam??? I don't know. For me, my knees and shins just could not stand the torture. Back in the 80's I could sit for hours working on projects with my soft material covered inexpensive kneeling chair. But then I weighed a lot less and that could be a large part of my leg problem...............too much pressure. I was very disappointed to have to return my chair which was no problem doing at Walmart.LadyIrisFleurDeLis

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/03/2013First kneeling chairThe knee pad is too narrow. I don't like having to sqeeze my thighs together so that my knees won't fall off the pad. It forces me to put the tops of my feet on the hard wood adjustment bar, which is very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is sturdy, and the wheels work as I would expect. Male 180 lbs 5'10Unknown

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/02/2010Good chair for a good priceVery comfy, you can sit in it with your knees on the knee pad or feet on the knee pad, either way helps you to sit upright and not strain your back or neck. also i used to sit on my knees on a regular chair and this is an easy and smart alternative to having your knees and legs go numb. helps my back too even tho there is no back rest particularly there is a place for you to sit. it is a good chair.Unknown
