FUNGUS GNATS!!!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
I bought a bag of Miracle-Gro Potting Mix a few weeks ago to amend soil in two potted plants. These two pots are now infested with fungus gnats! Yet, the nearby peace lily, planted with different soil, is not! Nor are the herb seedlings that I am raising from soil in my yard. Miracle Gro potting soil is defintely the culprit! I am super frustrated, because I now realize that this is not the first time!! I thought it was a random incident the last time. I know that this potting soil tends to bloom white mold/fungus. I have tried using cinnamon to deter it. I had purchased Miracle-Gro for its reputation and I purchase bagged soil to avoid bugs. Yet, I did better with ground soil from my yard. Hoping to get this under control, I have now had to purchase gnat traps and horticultural sand--more cost and effort. Very disappointed AND aggravated!

    Rocks aren't soil
I purchased your premium potting soil and besides the sticks there was a large rock in the mix. Premium to me is some perlite and vermiculite in the mix not a rock. There was a very small amount of perlite, enough to say it was there, not premium status.

    Moldy!
I have been using all brands of Miracle Gro for years for indoor and outdoor gardening. I have been proud to say that I use Miracle Gro products because of the good results. I can honestly say that this is the first time I have ever had any negative feedback about this product. Last week, I purchased a big bag of Miracle Gro potting soil from Walmart's garden center. I went home and repotted my houseplant, and a few days later white mold started growing on the surface. I am so disappointed, and I will be returning this soil to Walmart. I have a ton of plants and never experienced this when using Miracle Gro potting soil. Now, I have to stress my plant out again and repot it in new soil. Such a waste of time and money.

DONT BUY UNLESS U LOVE PULLING WEEDS.
I bought 8 huge bags of this garbage, to use for a creeping thyme bed in my yard& pumpkins I'm growing in containers. 4 days after planting I noticed growth in my creeping thyme patch& assumed it was just growing fast! Well! To my horror, a few days later I went to plant my pumpkins in the containers on the other side of the yard, that were empty& I discovered they are producing the same weedlings all over them @#$%% So now I have 4 bins& and entire cleared patch in my yard that's just going to be weeds.........Thanks a lot for ruining my yard& halloween Miraclegro. You'll never get business from me again.

    Killing my,plants
I have used several bags for my pots and planters and this soil retains so much water it is killing my wave petunias. It hasn't rained in a week nor have I watered and it's soaking wet. Petunias turning yellow and dying, I repotted thinking it was root bound to no avail New soil did it again. Every rail planters I have is creating this mushy wet soil that does not dry out. Weather is 85+ and humid and will not dry. Even has a green tinge on top

    Horrible results
I purchased 2 bags of Miracle grow moisture control potting soil on May 9, 2021. I buy this yearly for my plants on my porch, but this year, my plants hardly grew, seeming to not have any nutrients. I even used miracle grow fertilizer, mixing as the box suggested, and no changes. Finally, I added some 10-10-10 fertilizer to each pot and within days, a couple of days, the plants began to change, grow and blossom more. I am very disappointed with the results of the potting soil, and will add, when I opened the bags, they seemed to have a bunch of trash(sticks, bark etc). I asked my daughter, and she said her plants didn't flourish as usual, using Miracle grow products. What happened to the quality products we usually buy?

    Beautiful rich feeling soil
I used Miracle Gro Performance Container soil this year. The feel of it in your hands is amazing! There are some clumps but they easily break apart. As expected there is also pieces of wood mulch in it as well. I did notice what I would call a slight smell like manure. Not over powering and why not, it's a natural fertilizer! Transplanted all my starters into their new homes using it as well. My squashes and broccoli doubled in size in four days! My early tomatoes are already producing! This particular blend is a little pricey, but so far this season, it seems to be well worth it! The store accidentally gave me a couple bags of the in ground blend on my last trip instead, but I'm going to use it when I plant my starter potatoes this weekend.

Poor quality with large pieces of wood.
I bought several bags of potting mix for my flowers. I have noticed there is a lot of big pieces of wood (some the size of golf balls or bigger). I know in previous years it definitely wasn't like that as I had part of a bag left from a previous year and I compared it. Due to the large pieces, it is harder to work with and planting smaller seeds is almost impossible to do without picking a bunch of chunks of wood out of it. It's almost as if they didnt allow enough time for the materials to completely break down. I could understand if it was just a piece here and there, but the pieces are large and the amount is way to much! Come on Miracle-Gro, get this situation fixed; I have always liked your products. However, if this situation isnt fixed, I'll be finding another brand to use. I used to recommend miracle gro to everyone, I won't be doing so any longer until next year when I buy potting mix and this issue is resolved.
