Really happy with this purchase
Cools very well and isn't too loud to not hear the tv over so Id say its relatively quiet. I love That it has wheels and fits the vent in the window very easily.

Only really works if you have a floor drain
We were really disappointed and returned, despite research. Please let me help those whom this concerns-- this unit requires drainage but with no practical design to do so. I wanted an air conditioner unit for a bedroom on my 2nd floor and chose the medium unit because it was advertised as quieter, even though that was more square feet than I needed. I read several reviews and the Midea website specs and was looking forward to this AC portable unit. But, then we received this huge box and I was a little worried. It was packed decently, several feet tall with the extra stuff packed on top. I finally unpacked and went to install on the weekend and couldn't believe that the drainage plan is apparently a tray which holds very little water and you have to empty by tipping the entire unit and drain into your own-plan bucket out the spigot at the bottom in the back! This doesn't make any sense and is completely impractical! I have dehumidifiers with buckets holding several liters that still need emptying 1x or more a day during the humid NY summers, so Midea's design doesn't make any sense. Basically, this unit only works if you can vent out a nearby window while simultaneously draining into a floor drain, and yet it's advertised for bedrooms or a living room, which would not have a floor drain! The manual barely clarified the drainage issue, so I googled Midea video and more reviews specifically discussing drainage because I just couldn't believe this was the plan for an expensive appliance, and to my dismay, this crazy drainage plan is barely discussed yet truly the Midea plan, and many people have tried to work with draining and weird creative work arounds, yet still experiencing abundant issues. It's not worth it, yikes! The only good thing is Walmart made returning totally easy, thank goodness!! I was so worried it would be a huge hassle returning a huge appliance, but I returned within 2 weeks of arrival and they allowed a FedEx pickup return, thank you!! I think this could have been a nice AC unit if they had only designed a practical drainage bucket, like dehumidifiers and their buckets. It's also very disappointing how buried/ unavailable this info was, so I totally wasted my time and energy purchasing under false pretenses. I would not recommend because of this design flaw. If this issue were fixed then it could have been right in line with my expectations for portable appliances of similar value on the market, but currently this unit is useless to the average consumer, in my opinion. Hope this helps someone be more informed!

    I can sleep at night.
    I liked the price first of all. I been using it for the last 2 weeks and so far so good. The noise sound it's normal easy to sleep. Hope it keeps performing well.

    brother is happy
    the AC went out in my house and we didn't have the money to fix it. the upstairs AC still works and so everyone's bedroom had AC except my brother. he tried to act like it was ok but I knew better. I ordered this for his birthday and he is so happy about it. he says it works great and that gets this a 5 star from me. It will definitely cool a small room and now I can sleep at night knowing my brother isn't too hot. It was easy enough for him to install himself and we didn't have to remove the screen from the window. This is a real review and NOT part of a promotion.

    Super cold !
    This air conditioner was such a good purchase. We have an upstairs room that is constantly in the sun and our central A/C just wouldn’t cool our room enough. The Southern California heat was literally unbearable so we decided to buy this for our bedroom. It blows so hard and so cold even on the lowest fan setting and within 30 minutes the room is cold cold cold. I think for what we needed it for it’s perfect. Note: our room is insulated and it’s a 12x12 room with hardwood floors. I don’t think this will cool a larger space or an entire apartment but for one room it’s more than sufficient. I’d suggest buying the extended warranty just in case.

    It's a win for us
    So far these have been wonderful. We purchased 4, all new. One arrived definitely used, but we opted to keep it and try anyway. We have been impressed with performance and ease of installation. They're no more loud than our old window units, if anything we all agree a bit quieter. Absolutely recommend these.

    Product arrive in a damaged box, once I put it together it was in working order. Ran it for about an hour to make sure it worked cooled very well. I got this as a back up for the next power outage I believe it will work fine. I am impressed. As far as the shipping that is on UPS there is something wrong with the services of UPS I receive several packages regularly and have noticed late and un-trackable orders their customer service has gone bad.

    BE PREPARED WITH WALMART CARE ! Absolutely magnificent design! The best Quality that you could find, This is very delicate design , If heavy work is outside , Uninstall it until its finished , Keep this clean and replenished. Keep away the mosquitoe , by putting a net over the part close to the window I learned the hard way so you did not have to. This is the new evolutionary way of cleaning made just for you! Still being perfected to Percise, At a great Affordable price! Absolutely incredible!!!
