Works great for a small room.
We have a 12 x 16 room and it will keep it 68° at night and about 70 during the day and it's been over 100°. We close our bathroom and closet door at night to keep it really cool.

Box came with big hole which had tape over it...
Item damaged. Box arrived with big hole. There was tape over it that was not damaged...so it was knowingly sent that way. Took out of box to install and big dent in the side of it.

    Great little unit
I bought this unit to supplement my central unit on these hot New Orleans nights. It took me (73 year old female) about 20 minutes to install this a/c in my window. Outside heat index was 104°, indoor temperature around 80° . After running this unit in my 13'x13' bedroom with the door closed and central air turned off, the temperature dropped to about 74° in a half hour... and this was in an unshaded window. Contrary to some reviews, this unit is fairly quiet for a basic no-frills unit. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

    Damage Product
Walmart shipped me a Product that was Damage. The Fins at the Back of the AC is Dented In 4 locations. It works tho, so I'll just keep it and try Fix the Dents. Is this what customers get when Shopping Online?

    Dented AC brand new
We bought a brand new AC about a month ago. My husband just got out of the hospital and was able to install it. It has a huge dent in one side. It was all packed up nice so it came from the factory that way. I don't have a receipt at this point. I feel stuck. Make sure you open things before you leave the store

    Cold, but very noisy
This unit blows cold air, but is quite noisy. I mean, annoyingly loud with a higher pitch sound in addition to the lower tone of the compressor. [The other identical one I bought isn't so loud.] I might exchange it for a different one. If you can afford it, buy from a reputable brand. Do your research.

    Pretty Cool
This little thing was a huge surprise for a 250 sq foot bedroom.. After trying four different portable air conditioners (8000 to 10000 btu, $300 to $400) that were very poor to poor, I decided to block this in a slider window with plywood and foamboard (trashy but can be covered up with fabric and tacks.) It immediately churns out ice cold air. I like it better on the "low cool" setting, as the air slowly circulates instead of mixing with the hot air. Plus, you can still hear the TV. You can use a fan on very low setting to direct the cold air. When its triple digits (I'm in the desert,) this used $4 per 24 hours, while my central air uses $12 (California prices.) My favorite thing: no unnecessary beeps, thermostat or remote. It's totally mechanical. If I want it turned off after bedtime, I use a timer plugged into a surge protector. Also, if you have an older electric system, you can still operate low-draw items (led lights, electronics, low speed fan) on the same circuit without tripping the breaker. I haven't seen water dripping yet, but the humidity has been below 30%. Finally, my dog LOVES to lay in front of it for hours.

    Damaged during shipment.
I've bought 3 of the same air conditioners. The box arrived yesterday, It looked pretty beat up, which happens during shipment sometimes. The back of the A.C . Has 3 places that's been dented %26 mashed flat.
