The fennel seeds were roasted, however nothing is mentioned in the description about it. I needed the non- roasted ones. Also, the taste was somewhat different.

    Love this product for my souses. But of oil, tablespoon or garlic and the fennel seed added to brown garlic shake salt over as cooks. This pulls out the flavor of the fennel into the oil. Then add tomatoes yumm in dishes with classic sauce recipes. I make my pizza sauce with fennel and my sausage . I use a load of fennel this is perfect.

    Good stuff!
    This was packaged very well upon arrival. I toasted a bunch of it and we put it into our homemade sausage. Very aromatic and delicious in the sausage!
