Be careful opening box
I ordered two of these lamps. I was excited to get them at such a good price point. However, when they arrived, both lamps in the box were broken, and I cut my finger on the broken glass. The glass seems extremely thin and fragile. Be very careful if you purchase.

    Nice lamp, horrible shades
    The lamp itself is exactly what I was looking for and I thought the shade was white but even with daylight bulbs this puts off a horrible yellow glow because the shades are yellowed inside

    I loved this lamp so much, until I started to one day notice little tiny cracks popping up out of nowhere. The lamp is never touched or anything.. so I didn't think much of it. .. until my 4 year old daughter comes to me screaming and terrified saying “our lamp exploded” I go to check it out and it has gotten 75% words within 2 days! It apparently popped the glass out everywhere as a crack was growing! Disappointing.

    A great collection of floor and table lighting
    I love this lamp, and from this past spring through current time, fall and early winter, it has been part of a Walmart collection of small to large desk, table, and floor lamps with the same simple white or cream shades and black metal bases. Some feature a transparent glass base, like this lamp; some have a simpler “stick” metal base and also have a slightly smaller footprint. Some also have heavy black pull chains that hang just below the bottom edge of the shade. All in the collection, considering their size and features, are reasonably priced. The look is great for the traditional or modern country home, or if within the right color scheme, in minimalist, kid, or dorm decorating schemes. With the right daylight, 60W LED bulbs, I've found it possible to nicely light several small and large, dark rooms in our post-and-beam home with three or four from the collection. Why the love? The shades soften but do not block light. And the table and floor lamps, provide a light source just above or at eye level, unlike track lighting which is overhead. The positioning of the light source at that level provides softly focused pools of light that fall and reflect off of the floor, walls, and ceiling. Meanwhile track or can lights are set at ceiling height and fail to bounce light off the ceiling and also set up a cascade of harsh overlapping shadows wherever they fall below, whether on the floor, walls, counter, or table. I've found bright ceiling lighting sometimes results in something like stage lighting, sort of overwhelming and blinding. And otherwise such lighting plans can result in a confusion of dark, overlapping shadows at table level and this can make completion of small handiwork and tasks rather difficult, or perhaps, just plain unpleasant. Cast shadows can make it difficult for depth perception and also taking in details on the edges and bottom of objects being handled. Meanwhile, lighting with this collection can result, at a reasonable cost, in an environment that is invigorating, but not blindingly lit. The light is homey, but adequate for reading or completion of paperwork, homework, and tasks. TY Walmart for making this collection available.

    Great little bedside lamp!
    I love this lamp, it is heavier and seems higher quality than I expected. I saw some negative reviews of it arriving broken but mine arrived very well packaged and was in perfect condition. I love the glass look. Lamps can get expensive so this one was a good deal. The shade is an off white color (with the black base). I wish it were slightly taller but it still does the job.
