Great table, great value for the price!!
This table is very sturdy. The chairs are comfortable to sit in. Chair slide in and out with ease, and without damaging floor thanks to the attached pads. The finish on the chairs and table is gorgeous. Wasn't too bad to put together, took about 1 hour. I am very happy!

This table got cracks everywhere within months
This table looks nice, I bought 6 months ago and placemats with it, unfortunately through this time I got the table the placemats had covered the cracks that were forming in few months, I'm very disappointed, I was reading the policy and you have only 90 days. This table it's not worth anything :(

    Nice looking but poor quality/construction
    Very nice looking table for the money, however, after about 7 months since purchasing I woke up one morning only to find one of the horizontal support beams with a SPLIT/CRACK due to what appears to be the table top itself bowing/warping. Pretty frustrating since it's obvious this is a product quality / manufacturer defect yet Walmart apparently will not standby their product (MainStays is a Walmart house brand) and offer a replacement, repair or discount.

    Could've been nice minus the dents and scratches
    It's a shame that quality control is almost non existent if their was this table never would've passed inspection. Pictures speak louder than words. Spent $105 for Angi service to have it assembled now I can't do anything about it. Customer service was no help whatsoever

    If damaged, return only option
    Received damaged, was told I would need to return to store for refund. Or drop off to Fed Ex drop off site. This weighs over 110 lbs. So I need to figure out how to get it there. I thought it would be within reason to ask for $20 off so I could fix it myself. Heck i would of bought the stuff to repair it at Walmart anyway. No go RETURN IT for refund only option, asked if they could send ups label and order a pick up NO drop off sorry, your satisfaction is our utmost concern blah blah blah, I guess i will just keep it, another lesson learned in a long line of Walmart disappointments. Flip a coin you may get lucky and not have damage. Materials looked decent dont want to comment on rest as have not assembled yet.

    For a $176 I dont think you can go wrong
    Was skeptical about buying this but happy I did. Was pleased it came in undamaged box. None of the pieces were damaged in shipping, which worried me because I had seen several complaints of such. It took my husband around 2-3 hours to put together. The directions were sufficient and all hardware was there. It feels heavy and sturdy. Nothing is wobbling so far. The color said cherry on the box but I'd call it more of a gunstock color but that wasnt a concern for me. It does have these little crevices, I don't want to say cracks because thats not what they are, that are obviously part of the wood grain but I'm afraid if something gets spilled it will soak into these areas. I've never owned any rubber wood furniture so I don't know if thats normal. So far overall I'm pleased with this purchase

    Hard to assemble/Beautiful dining set
    Like: Beautiful set. The dining set is sturdy and measures up to its claim on size, color, and quality. Extra screws and assembly items were thankfully included. Did Not Like: complex assembly. Assembly requires some basic knowledge of woodworking and a powered screwdriver and ratchet. Using the hand tools furnished would take days. Also the pre assembled chair backs had cracks. The wood is low quality but the design gives it the sturdiness to compensate for the cheap wood that tends to crack.

    Damaged during shipping
    The table set is simple and I like it but one chair was damaged and the table top had to dents out the box. I paid for assembly so we did not know this until the guy was assembling everything so how can I return it? Hopefully they will replace those two parts. Otherwise I like it.

    Black high top table and 4 chairs
    I purchased this counter height table for my kitchen seating area. we already have a center island with five high top chairs, but I wanted this high top table for our little seating nook area we have. I have to be honest I was very conflicted with the two color choices. I have a very large kitchen, with mocha black cabinets. I worried this table would be too much dark, and I absolutely did not like the Cherry Ash finish option. it amazes me that this table does not come in a more reddish deep Cherry finish. so I purchased the mocha black. first off the packing of the table was perfect. it is well protected in that box. nothing was damaged. the directions are spot-on very very simple and all parts are labeled. after reading all of the reviews I can see where people were having so much trouble putting the bottom part of the four high back chairs together. it is a nightmare. the entire set is put together with an allen wrench, so if you do not have good strong fingers and hands you will need to have someone else put it together for you. it took me 5 hours to assemble every bit of this set. the directions tell you that if you use a power tool it voids your warranty. that's just dumb. you have to use a power drill on the underneath of the high back chairs because you have to install screws. doing all these screws by hand there is just no way. I've attached a photo to show how nice this looks. I am very very pleased that I only spent $178 on this table, it would definitely be $599 anywhere else. our friends at Walmart always come through with everything we need for our homes. I've had the table now for about a week and I just love setting in my spot with my laptop or having my breakfast...... everything is tight and sturdy and this will last for years to come. a couple of things to keep in mind. the top of the table does not have any type of sealer on it it is just the standard finish that the entire set has. I put placemats down immediately to make sure that there would be no nicks or marks because once they're there they're permanent. another point is that you cannot push all four chairs completely under the table at the same time. I leave my chair pulled out as you can see in the picture at all times but the other three chairs this is as far in as they will go. my seating nook had to have a table that would not be over 3 ft in order for chairs to be pulled out and pushed in and to set in properly. this set is exactly spot on what I needed size-wise. I couldn't be happier. just go slow when you put this together and don't screw everything in until you get all of the bolts in for each chair just a little bit at a time. every part was there everything is labeled, it just took a long time understanding how to do the bottom part of the high back chairs. thank you Walmart for another outstanding success as usual!

    Better than expected
    I wasn't expecting much from a $200 dining room set but I needed a small set to fit the space in my kitchen and this one seem to fit that bill. My expectations were very low but it was affordable so I decided to buy it anyway, and to my surprise it was so much more than I anticipated it to be; The quality of the table and the heaviness was way better than I expected it to be. however it did come with some dings and nicks which is disappointing but when you have a bulky item delivered you can't expect delivery people to take care of your items, so I expected some dings but there was a huge one that I didn't like but it's not worth trying to pack up and take it back to the store. So, just be prepared to deal with a few nicks and dings upon delivery other than that great dining room set for the price

    Great table
    This table was cheap but really nice .I read lots of reviews before purchasing it .Gotta say all the pieces came and it came with the materials to build it .It was built in about 2 hours .Its is pretty sturdy and nothing was damaged.I definitely recommend to purchase.Thanks Walmart lol..Also quick shipping.

    Damaged yet pretty table
    Opened my box so my dad could put the table together and it was damaged. This is a pretty table and the carriers damaged my table. I'm keeping it and my dad will fix the damage part. This table is to heavy to return.
