Simple to use and works great!
I like that this microwave is simple to use and the buttons are easy to understand. It heats just as well as more expensive brands! I also like having a button to open the door with instead of a handle to pull it open, because it doesn't shift the microwave out of place... Love the classic black and white colors, too!

Worst Microwave Period. Don't Waste Your Money.
Worst microwave ever. Very weak heating power. It does not heat efficiently at all. The popcorn setting is not accurate. It won't pop a whole bag of popcorn without burning it. Even with setting my own timing this microwave won't pop the popcorn bag even halfway without burning the popcorn really badly leaving half the kernels in the bag. It burnt one bag and even burnt the inside of the microwave. Waste of money. Looks nice in red trim and black, but isn't worth the $55 plus tax I spent.

    Small but Powerful
    Don't let this small size microwave fool you. This thing has excellent heating and cooking power. My countertop space is limited so i need to have a small microwave. My last microwave was of the same size but over the years I noticed it was no longer performing like it used to. I use the popcorn function as my test. My old microwave would only cook maybe a little over half a bag. This microwave cooked a full bag with only 4 uncooked kernels. It has all the functions of a larger microwave along with a turn table for even cooking. This is a great choice for someone like myself who has limited space or it would be an excellent dorm gift.

    Nice little microwave
    Mainstays 0.7Cu ft microwave is a very nice counter microwave. This is a 700 watt microwave that will do what you need. As you can see in the picture it will not handle large objects. The opening is about 6 1/2” tall from the plate and 10 1/2” wide at the front but your only going to be able to put something in it around 8” and still get it to rotate. The cup of water that I heated pushing the 30 second button twice was very warm but not hot enough like most people like there coffee. Probably another 20 seconds would get it there. I have a much larger microwave and it takes about the same time so this Mainstay 0.7 cu ft 700 watt is doing a very good job. I got this for my grandson to use in his college dorm. Not to big but will do what he will need. For a single person it's probably all you would need. It has settings for certain foods like popcorn, potato, pizza and frozen dinner. It also has 10 power levels a kitchen timer and a child lock feature. This is a great little microwave so if your looking for one I would take a close look as this one.

    Mainstays 0.7 cu ft microwave oven
    I like microwave ovens. I and my spouse together have three of them – a 2.0 cu ft high-end microwave oven for our house bought 1n 2008, a 0.7 cu ft microwave my wife bought from WalMart five years ago for my oldest daughter's college dorm, and now this 0.7 cu ft one from Mainstays for my younger daughter. These smaller 0.7 cu ft microwaves are perfect for college dorms, tiny houses, rental rooms, and singles or couples who don't tend to cook fancy or much. But be assured, these smaller microwave ovens are fully capable of fancy cooking with pre-programmed settings. In fact, I cook almost all of my meals in the microwave. My wife favors the gas range and oven, but usually heats her coffee and hot drinks in the microwave. This Mainstays product comes in three colors—all white, all black, or black with a red bezel. I have the black with red bezel. Pretty much all microwave ovens sold in the US are designed alike – because they are regulated by the federal government standards. The main differences being in the controls and how the door opens. I prefer a door the pulls open, but Mainstays has a door that pushes (a button) to open. The controls are all digital, consisting of timer, pre-programmed settings, power settings, and a numerical pad. There are a few less pre-programmed settings on the 0.7 cu ft microwave ovens than my 2 cu ft one, but I don't tend use the pre-programmed settings. It used to be that microwave ovens were not good a browning the surface of meats and crusts, but that seems to solved with how the foods are packaged. Today for many people microwave ovens may be all they ever need for cooking a meal. And Mainstays 0.7 cu ft microwave oven is a good choice.

    Great, small microwave!
    This is a small microwave with 10 power levels. It has six quickset menu buttons, comes with a timer and clock, a wait time defrost option, a 32nd one touch option, a child lock feature and an LED display. It has a pushbutton door opening and has 700 W of power. We are using it on our lower level to pop popcorn and warm up sandwiches/quick foods. It works perfect. My favorite color is red, so this microwave fits our bill! I would recommend buying if you are looking for a smaller microwave. It would be a great addition to a child's dorm room while at college.

    Small but mighty
    Such a cute and functional counter top microwave. Love the red color and it's perfect for my college kid and his apartment. Best for smaller use and reheats but takes little room in the kitchen . Weird thing was, it was shipped in the box it comes in and you would of thought nothing would be left after seeing the shape it was left on my porch but the mighty little thing had no issues .

    I think that this is a great little microwave for an apartment or a single person that doesn't cook a lot. We got this microwave because our other one was old and rusting and we decided on a small one because our kitchen is so small. It is a little smaller than I imagined, we do have three kids so we use the microwave often. It works very well though for what it is.

    Impressive to be this small…!
    I must admit, I didn't except too much from this small microwave oven. It's a small 0.7 cubicle feet capacity and I didn't think that it had any features that would impress me. But, it does! I love the express cook buttons, where you can just push on of the numbers and it starts the microwave for that amount of minutes! And, it heats up my food at somewhat of a minimal setting and gets it nice and hot, without neediest to add extra time. This is also the first microwave that I've seen that has a timer built into it! I can set a timer for stuff that I cook on the stove using this microwave! Also, I don't recall microwaves having a one touch button for heating up slices of pizza or frozen tv dinner's! I initially thought that it was going to be to small for our kitchen counter but it fits nicely and doesn't look out of place because of its size. So far, we are very happy with our new microwave oven and the red color fits in nicely!

    A Great little microwave for a dorm room.
    This is a nice little microwave that would make a perfect addition to a college students dorm room. I am using it in my garage/man cave. I highly recommend it and the only complaint is it's a little small and not very powerful. Having said that my wife loves it and is always using when the larger one is in use in the kitchen.

    Good choice and great delivery.
    Like: small size, simple to operate, looks presentable, great price Dislike: slides on countertop, which is solved by putting a placemat underneath Thumbs up to Walmart for not just sending it in its original box like the other guy did. "they" sent two, and both were broken. One box was filled with glass. Walmart sent theirs in its original box, protected inside a bigger cardboard box. Delivery in two days!
