Perfect size!
I got this sandbox for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it. It comes with so many extras, shovels, truck, 2 digging tools, 2 little men, and the crane digger, 2 scooping cups, and she loves the ramp for the dump truck, she uses it like a slide for now. Couldn't be happier with the small size, I didn't want a huge one, 2 50lb. Bags of sand fill it up. Oh, and my 6 year old nephew loves playing with her and the sandbox.

    So small but fun
    This Little Tikes Big Digger sandbox with lid is so small but its a lot of fun for little toddler/preschoolers. As others have said, the manufacturers information is misleading. The sandbox itself is only 8 inches tall and about 25 inches wide. The box rim has openings all along it so you can't fill to the top with sand. This can hold exactly 100 lbs of sand. The excavator is very cool and its the reason that we chose to buy this. We have a 2 yr old and 3-1/2 year old playing with this and they both love it so much. They have spent a lot of hours this week digging in the sand.

    Great for ages 3-10
    My 5yr old loves this sandbox!!! He has spent hours playing by himself while I get house work done. If you get a tarp, you can bring the sandbox inside. It's not huge but it's not too small either.

    To small for my 25lb toddler to sit in it and play, he has to stand outside of it. Rain constantly gets in it even with potted plants on top to add weight. Very disappointed in it. Waited to long to return it:(

    I love it! My son spends most of the day in it with his trucks. Used one bag of 50lb sand inside. I put it underneath a playset. I love how it is not huge and in manageable like the old sandboxes. If your looking for a larger sandbox this is NOT it! Only negative is it arrived cracked where the excavator is- not worth the hassle of the return.

    Great sand box that isn't too big
    I've never been a fan of sand boxes. The idea of my kids getting all sandy and then tracking that sand throughout my house. BUT this sand box is perfect. It's big enough to play but not big enough to sit in the sand. Love that it has a giant crane. My son is obsessed with anything construction. I bought a bunch of 3 inch dinosaur skeletons to hide in the sandbox and he uses his trucks and tools to find them. It's a game that keeps him occupied and gives me a 30 min break :) If your on the fence, just go ahead and get it. The price is unbeatable for everything you get with it.
