Granddaughter loves it.
I purchased this for my granddaughters birthday. She requested it but I was hesitant because I thought she may be a little to old to enjoy it. I was wrong. She has enjoyed watching this give birth over and over again and enjoys caring for the babies. Great toy, easy to assemble, works perfectly. So glad I granted her request.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/09/2023Our youngest tot has been wanting Mama Surprise Guinea Pig for almost 2 year. Reading reviews and the cost I didn't purchase. Our girls have so many food sensitivities we were a bit broken. Over Easter I thought well we can't eat candy but we sure will play so I picked one up in store on sale. Make sure you have/get 6 AAA batteries. I read the directions and watched a video. There are 2 modes. Slow which delivers the 3 babies within 2 days and fast mode which is 10 minutes. You have to pet, feed and brush her to until her hewrt lights up. place hwr in her cage while it is on the mode you prefer. Her heart and the cage will have pulsating heart beats when synced correctly. Our girls prefer thr 10 minute mode. They have had her birth 5 times already. They come with a little present for each with accessories to wear. Hair elastics, barrettes, glasses, and mini birth certificates. You can reload the babies over and over again. You must Even the presents too. You must care for mama between each delivery to make her sing and heart light up. She does not deliver 3 all at once nor all in a row. We have had no issues with them getting stuck. Our girls didnt know how they loaded at first to make it more funny. I kept it a secret. I was really cautious purchasing for a long time. I have no regrets getting it this toy. Again I did purchase it on sale.Unknown

She absolutely loves it. The only critique I have is that the listing had said 'batteries included'. Batteries are NOT included, and it forced us to make a last-minute trip to the store for 6 AAAs. That alone was wildly inconvenient. But the toy itself is tons of fun, especially for my little animal lover!Rose

It does not come with batteries so be sure to stock up. There are two modes when it comes to mama having babies, a fast mode and a normal mode. These determine how fast the babies come. The magic was lost a bit when my daughter saw the baby guinea pig drop from the ceiling so be prepared to explain that if necessary. Would have been cooler if they popped up from the bottom or side. Nonetheless my daughter was so excited for all 3 babies. The roof dropping babies is not a deal breaker for her. Haha.LisaK

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/01/2023Cage didn't work - everThis is the CUTEST thing, BUT the mama animal wouldn't 'talk' or connect with the cage and therefore the motor to turn the table (where the babies are stored) never worked. I had to distract my daughter, grab a baby and put it in there myself. As soon as she learned it didn't work by itself, she wanted nothing to do with it. :(Jennifer

It was a terrible disappointment. The Guinea pig hasn't had any babies. You are supposed to get a baby in 10 minutes and then 10 hours, etc on the normal setting. I had to sneak the baby out of the top panel and plant it in the cage so my daughter wouldn't be as disappointed as me. This toy is junk…ridiculously expensive junk. I am also disheartened that someone would inflate the price of a kids product during the holidays.Kla

I double and triple checked that it wasn't on the “fast” setting. The babies also all got stuck in the trap door every time one was supposed to be born, resulting in me having to fix it each time. Definitely took away from the magic of my daughter's most wanted Christmas present.Kayla
