Wonderful Option, and Value. Our cat loves it too.
my daughter has wanted her own pet for while now, so after I carefully looked at all of our options I decided on this, the Little Live Pets, Lil' Dippers Playset, featuring the Unicorn sea Fish. She absolutely loves it. And I love that I don't have to perform water changes, and maintain the water and ecosystem for her "pet fish" to continue to thrive and survive. This is an excellent idea and choice for any child whom is new to the respo abilities of caring for a pet, as well as a well built mechanical replication of a real live fish, with fun vibrant color options.

Batteries Corrode Quickly! Beware!
My daughter had this fish for not even a month. We played with it in her little aquarium, and allowed it to dry between playing. When it stopped moving I went to replace the batteries of a WATER friendly toy, and orange corrosion seeped out of the battery compartment and all over my hand. I'm sure it had been on her hands, too! Furious!

The fish swims as if its real, it glides along the water and occasionally will go under. We have used it predominately in the bathtub, but its made some appearances in our pool is well. My kids love how realistic it is and that theres no effort involved. My youngest is obsessed with feeding the fish. It comes with a little bottle that almost looks like lipstick and has what I assume is a magnet, which the fish will be drawn to and then latch on like its actually eating. So far we have not had any issues with the batteries with any of the 3 that we own. I hope these last a while because this really helped my daughter enjoy the bath. Sometime it's impossible for me to say No to them and the LIL' DIPPERS PLAY SET UNICORNSEA was a great substitute for their request for a pet fish. This is a superb way to give a child the duties of having a pet. The likeness of a real live fish, with a unicorn inspired color scheme and nil upkeep was a better reason to enjoy the LIL' DIPPERS PLAY SET UNICORNSEA. Once we unpackaged everything and fill the tank with water as soon as we put the fish inside the water, it started to move. One suggestion I would make is having some type of cover to protect the water from spilling over. Other than that my girls loved the LIL' DIPPERS PLAY SET UNICORNSEA and I would definitely recommend this toy.Girl Dad

No batteries needed, the magnet I think makes it moves around like a real fish. My kids are crazy about it. You can charge it when you need it to move(not real charge but only get the magnet near its mouth as if it's feeding).Sandoor82

Maybe not the best toy for a younger child . After 10 mins it will "Sleep " and you have to wipe the water sensors to make it swim againMamap3

She loves the unicorn theme and loves that she now has a pet and I love that there is zero maintenance. It comes very well packed and is a very high quality toy. My daughter loves putting her fish in the bathtub and plays for a long time. Her favorite part is the Feeding Bottle, I definitely recommend for any kid that wants a pet or loves unicorns.Chapiz92
