Store pickup if you can
I don't know if the rod and reel are good since it arrived FedEx delivery with a mangled rod. which is in several pieces. The box was fine. Walmart may want to choose a different shipping company.

    Overall has a great feel to it. Cast really smooth. Knob end was lost in shipping tho or not even given so I just put a bolt in the hole to hold knob on. Looks tacky but it works. Bought a replacement knob but it doesn't even fit so oh well. I've had my pole for almost 3 months and only used it maybe 10 times and just recently broke the tip off of it. So I mean overall a pretty good set but could probably use a better pole maybe

    Same as another person. Excellent rod and reel for the price; however, pick-up if you can. Item arrived from FedEx, box was fine...but the tip was snapped off. So now I am waiting for a replacement...let's hope it comes better. I don't think this was an issue with FedEx as they can only do what they can, but rather Walmart needs to use some foam padding around the tip instead of just paper.

    Broken when I opened the box !
    It's probably a good combo, but I wasn't able to use it. The rod tip's last 5 inches was broken off upon delivery when I opened the box. It's awful, I had a big fishing trip planned this weekend.

    Excellent Combo !!
    was looking for a 6ft spinning rod for creek fishing, I seen this one at walmart and the only negative reviews had to do with the shipping and not the quality of the reel or rod. So glad I purchased this set up I filled it with 10 lb braid and tied a 8 ft fluorocarbon leader to it , and I love this combo the rod has plenty of back bone for a med light pole it actually feels closer to a medium and the reel has no problem bringing in the bass. I went fishing last weekend at a friends pond and caught 22 largemouth ranging from small little fry barely larger than the lure I was using to a healthy 2 pounder and I had zero issue reeling it in . Evidently if you can get it delivered in 1 piece you'll love it I know I'm glad I purchased it. (The attached photo is the average largemouth I was catching that day with this combo.)

    Nice rod, but FedEx home delivery was horrible.
    Box arrived severely damaged and rod inside snapped in half. But FedEx still left the package on the front porch even with the box in this condition?
