    Excellent Fast and slick design
    The laptop is excellent. The hingr design is well designed making the opening and closing very smooth. The design is slick, simple, and appealing. The fingerprint reader is great, makes it easy to login. Also the camera has a on and off slider allowing us to adjust to our liking and giving privacy.

    Quality and simplicity = Happy customer!
    Case - nice solid feel and finish. It feels like it's anodized. Keyboard - easy access and size. Great feel of the keys for both typing response and soft touch feel. The different illumination levels of the keyboard is a nice option. Processor / speed - everything is working perfectly and quickly for my tasks. Setup - straightforward and simple. I'm super happy with my laptop!

    I bought the laptop for school work and so far its been great. I've been using it for gaming too and i havent encountered any lag. The screen quality is great and it charging through usb c is a very nice addition. It was very easy to set up!

    Superb laptop for studying
    I am an undergrad physics major in college interested in studying computational physics. For my studies I pretty much always need access to a good computer for running code and doing calculations. In addition, I needed a computer that is lightweight, slim, and that has good battery life, yet full featured and with enough storage to install programs like mathematica, Matlab, and visual studio which each can use 10s of gigabytes of space. For reference, I already have an Acer predator Helios laptop and an old Asus laptop, and while my Acer laptop has the power I need, it is too heavy and its battery life too short for it to fit my studying needs. This computer has, in my week of having it, so far fit my purposes perfectly! I got the AMD ryzen 5 with 512gb storage/8gb ram model. It has a nice finish, and looks premium. The keyboard is satisfying to type on, and in my opinion is not too loud. I especially appreciate how it has a number pad when I need to type code. It feels snappy and responsive, and I feel runs the programs I need it to well. I do wish my model had more RAM, but 8gb seems to be enough for on the go studies. In addition, I always install Linux to my computers as a dual boot option and I had no problems getting Ubuntu 20.04 on this system. Lastly, I love the battery life! It lasted me a whole 7-8 hours one day running code in Jupyter notebooks, watching lecture videos, and so on. Overall, if you need a solid college laptop that has good storage, processing power, and decent memory, I think this one fits that great!

    Think and write more with less money!!
    Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is just perfect for me as a student entering the graduate studies. This is super friendly, light, fast for writing, webinar, email and watching YouTube videos. I like the keyboard, it's superb for lots of writing. Moreover, the laptop has 8hr stand by battery which is cool for students. All in all, if you want an ecomic laptop with elegant facilities, this laptop is as good as you can get.

    Worth it
    I was a little hesitant, but I went for it. I've used it for a little over a month and my only minor complaint is battery. If you're looking for a laptop for grad, ungrad or basic work from home computer, this would do just fine.

    I might have found a unicorn. An excellent general purpose laptop for work, programming, school, and even some lightweight gaming. If you're looking for a laptop in the $1,000 price range, then i highly recommend.

    Love the product. I really have 0 complaint especially when I payed 600$ for the laptop. It's not the most premium build quality laptop, but again, that's when I'm comparing to stuff like macbook or XPS and they will cost at least twice as much.
