I bought this monitor to replace a 1080p glossy IPS monitor. 4k is too hard on graphics cards and 1440p is a nice comprimise. I was concerned about going to a VA monitor but this one didn't disappoint me. I am not sure what made the experience better the 1440p or the 144hz FreeSync. I mistakenly thought that FreeSync only worked with AMD gpus. I was wrong this one works so well with my RTX 2060S that I don't even bother to look at frame rates, it's just smooth and no shearing or stuttering. I love the slim bezel and the joystick control. The onscreen menu is easy to use. I really thought the stand was great but I am using a VESA mount instead. The price was amazing, I am very happy with it.

    Very good screen
    I have been using this display for a couple months now and so far i am very happy with it. I actually bought 2 and have recently had to send 1 in for a repair due to a dead pixel but LG has made it very easy to send it in a get the repair underway. This screen is bar none one of the best i have ever used and upgrading from a 1080p to a solid 2k display is very noticeable. also the 144hz refresh rate is a noticeably great upgrade in terms of smoothness.

    PS5 owners DO NOT buy this monitor
    *ATTENTION PS5 OWNERS* I purchased this monitor after doing some research and wanting to take advantage of the 120 FPS the PS5 allows. So I went with this monitor, as it is up to 144hz. The problem is that this monitor WILL NOT work with PS5 to get that 120 FPS. It will cap out at 60 Hz still. I had to contact LG directly to see what I was doing wrong but they informed me that this monitor is up to 144 Hz ONLY at 1440p. I assumed if you play on a lesser resolution like 1080p that the Hz would remain at up to 144 but they told me that is not the case. PS5 does not allow 1440p resolution. They only allow 720, 1080
