Very solid
I bought this for my brother and sister in law who have steep stairs that they needed to block off so their 3 year old could not climb them. I realize in the pics it is installed sideways, but this actually worked better for them. It was super easy to install. It is so solid that even their 100 lb dog does not push through it. This gate will last a long time and I am thinking about getting one for myself. Worth the money for how well it is made.

    EXCELLENT GATE for pets and kids
    I really like this gate. Purchased 3 of them. Used for both a puppy and grandkids. 1) Taller than most gates. You don't have to bend down use the latch to open. (this was important as I was having a procedure done) 2) Gate swings in both directions - a BIG plus. 3) Made of metal - the puppy has no desire to chew at it. 4) Difficult for kids to open, as its a 1 handed, 2 motion latch 5) EASY to put up, just follow the instructions. 6) Once in place firmly, it doesn't really move. 7) Easy to extend for wide doorways - again, follow the instructions. 8) The automatic close works most of the time. Has to be mounted straight left to right and up and down.

    Attractive Dog gate with swing door
    This is the best gate we have had for our dogs. The swing door is a plus and the quality of the materials are very good. The gate is attractive and we are very pleased.

    auto-close insufficient
    The gate is tall like I hoped, but it doesn't close automatically all the time and it makes a lot of noise. I was really depending on the auto-close because I cannot have my cat sneaking into the baby room and possibly suffocating my baby by hopping into her basinet. I might keep shopping around for something better. It seems a bit cheap and underwhelming for what I paid.

    Nice quality - working as planned
    I bought this to give two cats of my daughter the den and laundry room and 1 bedroom to have. My room with nicer furniture is sectioned off from them. It is working great and it is easy to open and close the door.

    Sturdy and well-built
    I bought this gate to section off my puppy. Assembly was easy and the gate is sturdy. It's high enough so that my puppy can't jump over it, but also convenient in that it's easy to let people through. It's expandable so it can fit a variety of hallways.

    Cheap plastic latch.
    Recieved mine with broken plastic latch, had to return it , very much an inconvenience, cheap plastic latch. Otherwise was average.
