Great house!!!
I did a lot of research on which play house to buy for my children and this was the one I decided on. I am going to leave a detailed review as there weren't any reviews when I purchased this which was not helpful. In my opinion this house such a great value for what you get, especially comparing it to other similar items. I love that it is real wood. When I opened the box it smelled of wood, not a gross plastic smell. The house looks just as it does in the picture. Really cute and I like that it looks nice in my backyard. I also like that the house is empty inside as opposed to having a kitchen inside like so many of the other houses have. My kids have a kitchen area in their play room and do not need another. Instead I bought a play grill and set it up outside the house so it's something different. I let them choose what the inside of the house will be used for and it is different every day! So far they have filled it with balloons for a ballon pit, brought dolls inside to play, and have even filled it with blankets and pillows for an outdoor movie in the clubhouse. The house took about an hour and a half to set up. My husband set it up and needed me to help just a few times for a second set of hands. An electric drill is definitely helpful! For him it was easy to set up, but I know I wouldn't have been able to set it up myself (I usually put most of their toys and furniture together, but this one was a bit more complicated!) Lastly, my children are 1.5 and 3.5 They both play in the house together and have plenty of room. Our dog also loves to join them! I would say it will probably be big enough for them until they are 6 or 7.

Horrible and very damaged
I was so excited to get this house for my sons bday When we opened the box that was extremely damaged that gave me the first warning sign I opened the box to find out that many wooden pieces are damaged and the paint is chipping off. Honestly not worth $200 but prolly $50 Very disappointed. My 5yp boy birthday present has been ruined

    Great purchase
I sent this to my grandson for his 3rd birthday, After reading reviews. It is the perfect house for him, or garage if he decides to park all his tractors in it. The height and size is exactly what I wanted for a 3 year old. My daughter confirmed that the wood smelled great. My son-in-law had no problem putting it together. The blue roof was a hit with him as he loves anything blue.

    You're buying a project...expect imperfections
If you are expecting this playhouse to arrive in a condition that is ready to put together and play right away...this is not the playhouse for you. You will be disappointed. You will be upset. I sent a 13 page document of pictures to the manufacturer with all the broken parts. That said, the manufacturer sent me all the replacement parts I needed. I also sanded down the edges and inside of as it was a splinter Hazzard. Once sanded and primed, I painted the windows black, the walls white and the trim pieces black. It took two weeks to doctor up, but now that it's done, it's darling! And my dude loves it.

    Cute house, poor quality wood.
The reviews are correct that the wood isn't the best quality. It cracks easily. However, it smells of cedar so the smell is lovely. The pieces are hard to read as to which piece it is. I'm not sure how we'll weather proof it. My little girls (2

    Best purchase ever!! Mom APPROVED!
I bought this after reading mixed reviews because of the price and I thought it was cute. Also, my 4 year older liked the blue roof. It came in quite a few pieces and I was going to outsource this to my boyfriend. When he got sick the day before I had planned on building it, I broke out my electric drill and decided I could knock it out myself. I laid out all of the pieces on my back patio and followed the instructions. The cedar smelled amazing. Every piece fit together like a glove (thank goodness for me). I didnt have to force anything. I had my 4 year old helping me. It took me about 2-2.5 hours alone. I was also being very meticulous because I didnt want to mess up and have to backtrack. The only thing I was not 100% thrilled with was the two pieces at the top that go over the roof line. Maybe I just didnt do it right? But the angles didnt fit perfectly no matter which way I turned them. See pics of what I am talking about and what I ended up doing. I LOVE the way it turned out. The door works perfect. My kids love it. I bought four 24 inch square pavers as a floor and leveled them before I got started. One of my best ideas ever. Love love love this playhouse!! KidCraft for the win!!! Cant beat the quality at this price!

    Cute, affordable!
This cottage is cute. For the price point on sale for $160 I can't complain too much. I did have to unscrew several screws and threw them back in if they were installed underneath the brackets. some of the wood did have mild chips. other than that it is made of Cedar just a little on the softer side and puts off a bit of a strong scent. it took me about 2 hours by myself. You definitely need power tools as there are about hundred and some odd screws. I added some decor and decided to flip the roof over to white as a blue was a little off-putting. Large enough for my 2 and 10 year old! Overall, I think this is a very good buy as simular houses sell for $399 Plus.

    Anyone home?
My 4 year old and 2 year old sons love their new home/hideout/restaurant/puppet show theater etc… they use it for many different things and it keeps them entertained for awhile which makes them and mom happy! Its not huge but it works I believe its around 3'7'' all the way around at the base. Great colors made of wood with a blue metal roof. Took my husband just under 2 hours to assemble by himself. Hopefully my 4 year old will be be able to use for a couple more years to come! (He is very tall for his age) would recommend for fun outdoor play! (Tip:Also I added thin curtains for a lil xtra fun and to help block some of our hot Florida sun!)

Bought this for my dog house best thing ever!
Easy to put together with 2 people, comes with four sides connected just folded most of the pieces are for the roof. I bought this playhouse for my dog to have inside instead of a crate or kennel. So I put it together without the roof. But the price is great compared to anything available for pets.

For the price, it's hard to do better
Instructions are easy enough to follow and while there are a decent number of parts and pieces, it only took me (a very average handyman) about 90 minutes to complete. The roof was the only part I needed any help with, but some clamps could have easily done the job too. Two pieces arrived either fractured or falling apart. Fortunately, the damage was in places that were not critical to maintain the stability and integrity of the house. Another reviewer mentioned putting the white side of the roof up, and I agree that this will only add to the lasting appeal of the house by not fading like the blue side undoubtedly will. I have some doubt about just how long this house will hold up. It is made of cedar and "treated" with paint. I will be adding caulk and exterior paint, but even so, would not expect this to survive too many northern Indiana winters/summers. For around $130 on sale, though, it is absolutely worth it. Just know a few things: It won't come together perfectly. It probably won't last outside more than a few years (which is all we need it to anyway) at best. And you'll be rolling the dice on all pieces arriving in good condition. We were lucky. By the looks of some of the other reviews, we were very lucky. If you are okay with those things, I highly recommend this house.
