Another satisfied customer.
Very good quality for the money. I have a cheaper used one and this is worth the few extra bucks.

My fan does better than this!
I'll be returning this to Walmart. Very disappointed in this. I swear my fan works better than this thing. I hooked it up in my bedroom (which is pretty small) and I can't feel it across the room. It's been running for a few hours and the room is still stifling. I thought Keystone was one of the better companies that make air conditioners! I'll probably go with a Frigidaire window unit after I return this! Terrible!

Cools really well. Tends to be run loud
Purchased this because a window unit won't fit in new replacement windows we installed recently. We knew portable units are not as efficient as window units since the compressor is inside the unit and not vented directly out a window, but a portable was the easiest way to still have an air conditioner. Bought this particular model because it was smaller and lighter weight and we're only cooling a small 150sq ft bedroom. So far, it has easily cooled the room down to about 72 degrees (which is the setting we leave it at) at the low fan speed setting when it's been over 90 degrees outside. Tested it briefly at the high fan setting and it cooled the room even faster and it got the room down to 70 degrees. Haven't tried setting the thermostat lower than 70, but it definitely can cool really well. Would have given it 5 stars, but there are a couple of reasons it's not great. The window insert has a lot of gaps and the the vent hose is also really thin. This didn't look like a problem until I started the unit. It cooled really well, but all the heat from the room is blowing out the vent hose and out through the window insert and then out the window. While the front of the unit was blowing out 70 degree air, the back of the machine was blowing out 100 degree air. The foam insulation with the machine wasn't nearly good enough to seal everything. Ended up cutting some lumber to make a ledge for the window insert and then used split foam pipe insulation on the top of the window insert and closed the window down on it to seal everything. This made a BIG difference in cutting down on the 100 degree air leaking back into the room. There are still a couple of noticeable gaps where the hose connects to the insert, but I think they can be covered with some type of insulation. It should cool even better if these are all sealed up. The hose could also probably be insulated somehow which would slow don the radiating of the 100 degree discharge air. The other issues are that even though this is one of the lightest portable ac units I could find, it's still kind of heavy to carry up and down stairs. It also takes up a bit of floor space. It's also pretty loud even on the low fan speed setting. On low, it sounds like a box fan set on high or a TV that could be heard across a room. I think it has a large internal fan because it has to blow all of the air out through the 5 ft vent hose and it takes a big fan to do this. The fan only has 3 settings, Auto (which sounds like the low setting), Low, and High. The high setting is really loud and can be heard on the other side of the house. There doesn't seem to be any way to keep it quieter.
