Poor quality
Front wheel bent beyond repair, brakes are not adjusted so if you attempt to ride bike will not stop. Not really satisfied but after spending extra money to fix problems the bike is rideable. For the extra money I spent I could of bought a better bike

I'm glad I brought this bike.
This is a good bike for the money. I got exactly what I expected, plus a little more. After reviewing many other bikes I am very glad I chose this one. I am a very happy customer.

Quality product - You get what you pay for.
A well built item. the only flaw was a series of what appeared to be tooling marks or scratches on the right side of the rear rim. It was in the shiny machined ring {where the brake pads engage) and I was able to sand it down with 200 grit sandpaper and make it acceptable. I experienced none of the reviewed issues... well the brakes probably DO need a little adjusting - could be just because im about 50 lbs overweight. Perfect sized tires - little thicker than the 70's ten-speed tires, thinner than beach cruiser. I do intend to have the bearings packed with synthetic grease. Good gear range. It does seem a little stiff, though its been 15 years since I last rode. Assembly note: It is shipped with the forks rotated 180 degrees ( I read one reviewer who swore that the pedals hit the front tire when turning. This would be why>) Look I paid $370 for this bike in Feb 2021. Was a little aggrivated when I read what some other reviewers said they had paid just a year or so ago, but post covid, everything is higher. I will make up the difference in gasoline prices post-Texas freeze, though. I like my new bike. I think with proper care and maintenance, and if my heavy tucas can avoid the really bad potholes, it should last me many years.

    NIce! And Smooth!
NICE! My son loves his new bike. It was easy to put together; only because I know a few things about bicycle repair. The wheels needed a little tuning so I took it to a bike shop and he made sure all was assembled correctly. I even road it, and I'm over 50 and out of shape...it is smooth easy to control and change gears. I would highly recommend this bike to first time riders who are graduating to a larger, faster road bike. Also recommend for those getting into road biking.

    Great starter road bike
I purchased this bike to get back riding, I love to weight and feel of this bike. You will eventually need to make some custom upgrades to this bike, like quick release wheels, and custom peddles, but for the price you can't be this bike. As with all bikes, just keep it maintained and it will last you a long time.

    perfect beginner road bike/ commuter
i bought this bike for two reasons, the price and that it was a road bike. i use it to ride to work 5 miles one way, i weigh 255 lbs and this bike packs me very well. you will need to adjust the deraillers front and back and the brakes for your liking. that will happen with any new bike. also would recommend upgrading tubes and tires, and brake pads. other than that the bike is great and you cant beat it for the price.

    700c Kent RoadTech
I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my son. He was thrilled with the gift. He is a recreational rider, not hardcore. This bike is light, sturdy, shifts gears smoothly and is easy to maneuver. Initially, it needed a few adjustments prior to riding. Such as, tightening some bolts, adjusting the spokes and tweaking the front brakes. All in all, this is a good solid and sturdy bike for the money.

    Assembly challenging
This bike has no mount for a cage for a water bottle. The instructions for assembly are incomplete and did not mention that the brakes had been mounted backwards for shipment. I had to take it to a professional bike shop to complete installation. But the bike rides well and ,despite the minor assembly issues, it is good bike for the money.

    Read this first!!!!
Is this an inexpensive bike? Yes. Do you get what you pay for? Yes. But that does not mean this is a bad bike! If you go buy a $1500 bike from a bike shop, they will insist on setting it up for you. The reason is because the builders are building these bikes knowing they are going to a shop. If you refused to let them set up your super road bike, it would ride, shift and break like a really light piece of junk. The Kent road tech is no different. IV put 114 miles on mine, after setting everything up properly and it is an awesome bike. It's a little heavy, the gears don't go quite high enough to compete with the expensive bikes in a sprint, and the brakes need adjustment, but it rides lovely once you set it up. So my final little plug, get the bike, get it set up, and as long as you do, you can't beat the value, I promise. But you will not buy this bike off the shelf and be ready to ride, it must be set up, it's a performance cycle and needs to be treated like one, even if it is less expensive.
