best value when purchasing RICE K's. Love this product, and glad they ship it through walmart.com because sometimes when I place my pick up orders they try to sub it with the great value and I'll tell you there IS a difference in taste.

WHAT HAPPENED? Dark tan smaller shape ,tasteless.
What did you change in the recipe? I just bought a box and they are a darker tan, different shape and they don't taste the same. I see a lot of other reviews that are saying the same thing. Is this due to shortages in ingredients ?

    Hard bits - Mom cracked a tooth
    My family has eaten Rice Krispies for years. Like many others, we have noticed a change; lots of tiny, very hard bits throughout. We've tried to be careful, and assumed it was a short term issue, but just this week my Mom actually cracked a tooth on one. Done with Rice Krispies until they fix this issue.

    Trying to avoid a broken tooth
    I've eaten Rice Krispies for years, and lately I've stopped, because I would prefer to not start my day with a broken tooth. I used to occasionally bite on a hard, almost glass-like piece, but now it's multiple times in a bowl. It's ridiculous! I'm not sure what is going on with production, but it needs to change. There is no biting into these pieces at all. It's so disappointing, especially when I have 3 large boxes still. I just can't risk cracking a tooth.

    What happened???
    I've grown up eating Rice Krispies and making Rice Krispy treats since I was a kid, I carried on the tradition with my own kids. Today I made a batch for my daughters birthday and they were horrible! The formula changed, the rice was dark, tasted burnt, and didn't have the light fluffy taste/feel I grew up on. We are done with this cereal unless they change back to the original formula. Such a disappointment. My kids didn't even like the rice Krispy treats. No amount of marshmallow or shiver could hide the burnt/stale taste.

    It Is What It Is
    There's nothing spectacular about this cereal, but it is easy to digest. It has zero fiber, though, so you will get hungry soon after eating this. The price for this size of a box is a bargain.
