It was kinda fun to watch the pods bubble and expand as the water was absorbed!! Very easy to plant seeds. Only downside was not enough of the plastic tabs for labeling plants. Only came with 6 while there are 12 rows, just a small thing though.

Get the smaller kits.
I've bought other Jiffy seed starters with better quality plastic. The base and clear top are incredibly flimsy compared to their other seed starter kits. The pods are good. The kit itself arrived cracked and split but the shipping box was undamaged so whoever shipped it from Walmart put it in the box that way. Which sucks.

    These greenhouses worked very well to grow my flower seedlings this year. The pellets made my planting so convenient as well. I highly recommend these if you're starting some of your seeds indoors.

    not for plants that need more root spread!
    I'm pretty underimpressed with these for my personal use. I think they might be ok with smaller plants but I planted sunflowers of various sizes. they all sprouted very quickly which was nice but now that they're at height (some up to 10 ft fall), they've started falling over. so I investigated to try and see why and the netting around the disc never degraded so the roots have been unable to expand properly and create a good grounding area for the heads. I'm pretty sad that my whole crop of over 70 sunflowers is struggling to stay standing up right now. I've tried bamboo stakes and such and it's not working.. lesson learned.

    Excellent For Mass Plantings
    These pellets are perfect for mass plantings of flowers. The seeds tend to sprout within a week of planting so it would be wise to have the ground ready because the seedlings will outgrow their pellet homes in no time.

    My favorite Greenhouse Starter yet!!
    Great product! Comes with the hardened little peat moss discs that expand when you get them wet. A ton of our seeds started growing within the first week. The lid makes it easy to self water and grow seeds inside the house by the window until the weather warms up, and the biodegradable soil filled peat moss makes it easy to transplant your seedlings without the chance of them dying from being unhappy after the move. I highly recommend this starter pack!

    These really work and work well
    I bought the 12 pack of this and am probably going to buy this 72 pack. I bought the 12 pack to experiment with as I had never used this and wasn't expecting much. I figured I would play around and plant various seeds so I planted a few tomatoes, a couple corn plants, a watermelon, a pumpkin, sunflowers and peppers. I planted these on a Monday by Saturday I was having to repot the corn, watermelon, pumpkin, and sunflowers. I am really impressed with these. Now the rest is up to me. Hopefully the the next transplant from pot to ground goes well.

    Great indoor seed starter
    This is a great way to start seeds. I planted according to directions exactly and had the beginnings of sprouts in 3 days! Photo is after 5 days. Broccoli and cucumbers, carrots and onions just starting to peek out in some pods.
