Crackling Sound
I received the speaker yesterday and I was looking forward to it because of the charge port and it's features. I tested it out this morning and when first connected you couldn't hear any music until 10 or even 20 seconds later and once it started playing some music it would crackle up every 5-10 seconds. I was overall disappointed because it looked like a great product.

I went online that same night and uploaded some original artwork to customize a speaker for her. The speaker arrived within a couple of days and it is beautiful!! It sounds good, it can get loud when I want it to but I mostly keep it pretty quiet. Best part is the battery seems to last forever. Only complaint is about the charger it that comes with it. The charging port is USBC, so it comes with a USB to USBC charging cable, but the USB part is different from anything I've seen and it's not compatible with anything I have. (A pic is included.) This isn't an issue if you already have devices that need USBC to charge (which doesn't everyone nowadays?) but on the off chance you don't you might need to buy a charger for it.Joe0

I call him Jumbo Beats Travel, JBL for short. This is my sidekick, this is my buddy that I take everywhere with me because, he is so easy to carry around wherever I need him to be with me. If I am in the kitchen he is always there with me unconditionally, in the shower you bet he's also there while I shower and jam out. Getting ready for work, yep he's there for me, and the best reason I love him being there with me is because he doesn't talk back and he plays what I want him to. I can stream him wirelessly from my phone, he will play for me up to 20 hours of playtime, and he is also waterproof, so if he's is playing a sad song and my tears are running down my face and get him wet, he will survive. I really like also that he can charge my phone with his convenient USB charge out. The beats and bass that he provides are just enough to tickle my fancy. He's a travel companion and goes to parks and camping with me, sometimes he gets me in trouble when he's playing to loud and I get told to turn him down, he just likes to jam that bass. I don't know what I would do with my best friend with all his innovative and epic looking self. He is so amazing and everyone needs to own the charge 4. He sounds so crisp and clear and I will never part with him until the day he is not able to function properly anymore, but until that day I will keep on vibing with my Jumbo Beats Travel He is my best friend and I highly recommend y'all should get a best friend like this also, he will not disappoint.Guera

Didn't want the hassle of installing a whole system. This was a great option. Customized the design so it looks like a decoration and part of the environment, not just a honkin speaker sitting on a table. Cable-free and totally mobile so we can use it anywhere in the house, too. Easy to pair with devices. Works with whatever music app/device you are using/familiar with so you don't need to deal with another new interface. Plenty loud with solid sound. Amazing when you pair two or more.Skink9

I listened to two other popular brands and the JBL Charge 4 struck a balance between the boomy bass of one brand and exaggerated highs of another brand.
