I guess they are good
Easy to install with some electrical experience. It took approximately 30 minutes to install all 4. How good are they. Will never know until they are needed

Nothing works
Moved into our house June 2021 and today we have a smoke detector chirping. We have 6 interconnecting detectors. I've changed batteries in all of them and vacuumed all of them. We still have chirping! Please help! My wife is going crazy and the dog is having a breakdown!

    False alarms in middle of night
    After troubleshooting, cleaning repeatedly, resetting, etc. The smoke alarm continues to do false alarms. This is the 2nd year in a row, and the only common element I can think of is that they both happened at night during cold temps. Either way, terrible product. I do not recommend it.

    Holiday Nightmares!!!
    We had them going off on New Year's Eve for hours. My wife is still wanting to call the fire department. It's 4:30 in the morning and my house is full of family that is in town for the holiday and everyone is awake and terrified. I'm left with the options of unplugging the units or calling the police department. So frustrating. We have 4 of these in our house from a recent remodel.

    We have four of these hardwired throughout our home. When we test them, they all activate properly and are very easy to shut down and go back to normal. They may not need it, but we do put new batteries in them every time we change our clocks, we figure that way there is no opportunity for a battery to go low and we just feel safer that way. We did have a house fire three years ago and again, they worked absolutely perfectly. Everybody was out and no problems and we were very thankful that we installed them when we remodeled our home.

    I completely agree with these other reviews. This smoke detector is horrible. I have lost 3 nights of sleep now because it won't stop chirping all night. I've replaced the batteries but that makes no difference. I'm going to have to remove them and replace with a different brand that is more reliable.

    Terrible product
    Consistent low-battery chirps, mostly in the middle of the night. No relation between low battery chirps and actual status of battery. Kidde batteries that came with unit show full but trigger low battery alarm. Full non-Kidde batteries trigger low battery alarm. Brand new (2021) units in new house. Faulty product. Called the help line that's been posted here and I was told to hold down the "test" button for 5 seconds to force it to reset. Did that, unit flashes as if it's in hush mode. Battery issues persist. Noise only stops consistently if you unplug the unit and remove the battery; then it's just a chunk of plastic not an alarm.

    Installed 2 and one BAD ALREADY
    Bought this unit March 5th 2021 in a two pack. Install the one right away, still functioning perfectly. The other just woke me up at 6:00 a.m. this morning. Three beeps, then stops, then three beeps. Tried resetting unit, no joy. Removed unit from Mount, reset, changed battery twice. No joy. Understand unit has 5-year warranty? Can you please replace?

    Pretty Much Awful
    Parent's house has an interconnected set that came with it. Kitchen alarm randomly activates, and finally started chirping incessantly, despite battery replacement. Turns out, internal contact for battery is slid over plastic mount, and migrated out of position. Internal geometry and inability to open device means metal contact cannot be moved back into contact, thus endless dead battery chirp. Highly displeased that case design meant a simple flaw couldn't be easily fixed, and equally displeased that my folks had to put up with random activation for years.

    Horrible
    Nothing new to add that others have not already said. Our unit goes off in the middle of the night, wakes entire family up and crying kids running into our room. I changed the battery. Press the hush. Red light continues to flash. Will replace with different brand. Solution: They need to recall all these units, reimburse customers, and re-engineer this product from the ground up.
