This is the best $178 Walmart bike you can buy
I rode 100 miles from Richmond to Jamestown on the VA Capital Trail and back on this bike. That's testament to the durability of the bike. For the price of $178, I cannot give this bike any less than 5 stars. It held up on my 100 mile ride. 'Nuff said. Now for some things I need to mention to those buying this bike. The front tire went flat after a couple of rides. I patched the inner tube (happened on the side away from the tread) before my century ride. The inner tubes are cheap...but then again, this could happen to a bike bought from a local bike shop for a lot more money. To make my 100 mile ride more comfortable, I had to replace the stock saddle with a smoother saddle because the stock saddle had uncomfortable threads (bumps) on it. It will put indentations on your butt when riding. So you definitely need to swap it out. Secondly, this bike has no bottle cage mounts. You will need to buy a grip bottle cage mount and put it on the down tube or saddle or buy a triangle frame bag to store your bottles. This option requires you to dismount from the bike to get water form the bag. That's what I did on my 100 mile ride. Thirdly, the rear derailleur only needed a counter-clockwise turn to tighten the gear cable. The gear change between all 8 gears is now fast and easy. I like that the highest gear is 13 teeth and lowest gear is 34 teeth. The transitions are smooth and will not mess up your cadence with sprockets 13-14-17-19-21-24-28-34 with flexible eight speeds. The front crank has 40 teeth -- a decent compromise for a 1x crankset. Would I change anything? Sure. I might change the handlebars to be flatter and maybe a little longer. I might even add a mount to add perpendicular bars to simulate drop bars and to become more aero. Also the grips could be replaced with something more forgiving and ergonomic. These are minor, cheap changes that will make the bike even better. I could not be happier with this bike. Even though it's called an urban bike, it will do great on light trails. It's basically a hybrid bike. Go for it!

8 speed fly wheel broke after riding the bike maybe 10 times. Only owned it for 3 months. I just got sent a new one, hope it lasts longer than 3 months! On a positive note, the manufacturer did send a replacement bike within a week.

Quality and capability consistent with the price.
They weren't accurate on the shipping target date but it arrived in good shape and went together fairly easily with only a couple minor adjustments. It's fine for the price. Good for exercise and short rides but I wouldn't trust it for a long ride for sure. Fairly light weight. Seat post is short as many have said and the seat incredibly rigid and uncomfortable. First thing I did was order a new post to accommodate my upscale seat. Overall I'd have to say this bike's quality and potential is consistent with the price but if you're a serious long haul rider this might not be the bike for you.

    Nice entry level bike
For an entry level hybrid/road bike this fits the bill. it has an aluminum frame so it's light. The components are what you'd expect for this price range. The twist shifter works well enough, along with the brakes. I had to do some minor adjustments to the rear brake cable and the whole bike could benefit from being tuned by a professional bike shop. The welds on the bike are extremely sloppy especially on the handlebar, again though for the price it's functional. I plan to use this for neighborhood riding or small commutes to a store or paved trails. If I find this bike lacking in someway I could always upgrade but out of the box I don't see a need too.

    Great bike!
Perfect for everyday circulation excercise. Rides great. Almost makes up for item being delivered to neighbors home(fedex issue). Thank God I have an honest neighbor!

Nice ride, but too many issues
The bike rides nice but it has multiple issues. The biggest issue I have is that the seat post does not go high enough. I'm only 5ft8in, but the seat post is so short that my knees remain bent through the entire pedal rotation. The paint is flaking off the fork already, and Ive had issues with the derailleur (bent during shipping, and its not a Shimano), the pedals (clicks every rotation), bottom bracket (loose, had to buy a special tool to tighten), wobbly freewheel, and the headset seems to be clicking. Hyper was responsive for the issues noticed before riding, but was unable to help with the seat post. I have not contacted them about the new issues and am contemplating a return of the bike.

    Nice mid-range trail bike
Female, late 30s, 5'7" 130lbs I've been using this bike on our local bike trails with my son. They're mostly paved, some are gravel, it rides well on both. It's lightweight which I really like because it's a lot easier for me to get it up on the bike rack on my truck. It's comfortable, the gears switch smoothly, and it looks sharp. My husband (5'11, 170lbs) uses it also and he says it's comfortable for him as well.

    A Decent Affordable Bike
I got this bike for my daughter because her teenager bike is too small for her. Even though this is a man's bike with 27in wheel, my daughter still likes it. She is about 5ft 5in. We adjusted the seat to the lowest position and she can mount on and off the bike easily. This bike is good for 5 ft 2 in to 6 ft . It will be a good investment for teenagers that grow so fast. My husband did the assembly which took him about 30 mins with a few tools. He told the assembly is quite easy. The bike looks cool: black matte paint with gray accent. It is made of aluminum: fairly light weight but not the lightest. We put a seat cushion on the seat as the seat is pretty standard with no padding. My daughter told the bike is easy and smooth to maneuver and ride. She can cover a longer distance with ease because of the big wheel. Overall, I would recommend this bike to a casual bike rider because of its quality and price.

    Great look and ride
Received this and it had to be assembled, good thing my husband actually had the tools needed to assemble the bike. Make sure you have an adjustable wrench and a set of Allen keys 5 and 6mm. Otherwise, the assembly is pretty easy and straightforward. Rides fine and smooth the gears are a bit choppy but I take that as being new. Height is good fit my husband is 5ft 10 and says it rides good and fits good and the seat adjusts down and even fits good for me and I am 5ft 5. I personally love the color and look of the bike not too flashy and subdued which I like though. I am pleased with this also because our son cannot ride this and take this away from us yet, lol. The only thing that I would recommend is a gel cover for the seat, maybe it is showing my age but it isn't the most comfortable.

Quality components on a sturdy frame
We've been riding this bike around the neighborhood for almost two weeks now and can confidently say that this is a quality bike for this price range. Assembly was fairly easy and took about 15 minutes. You will have to release the front brake cable from it's lock nut in order to get the front wheel on but that's the most difficult part. After that it's just adjusting the handle bar and seat to your preference. This thing has some nice components for the price. You get a Shimano Touring rear derailleur, Snafu sports style seat and Neco aluminum pedals, which is a nice step up over plastic ones you typically get in this price range. Riding was quite nice with smooth gear shifts that surprisingly didn't require any adjustments. Brakes stopped well and needed only a small amount of adjustment to get just right. The tires had good traction and fair ride quality for being non-name brand. Now for the relatively few negatives, the biggest of which is a design choice, not a product defect. This is a rigid frame, so it has no suspension. If this had a front shock I probably would have given it five stars. The only other real negatives are subjective. Even being an aluminum frame it still has some weight to it and the seat, while nice, is on the firm side. Otherwise this is a very nice bike with some premium kit.
