Easy Setup – Great Features
I was a little wary about setting this laptop up myself because the one I've been using for years is for work and a techie co-worker set it up for me. The HP Stream was fairly easy to set up myself, I'm relieved to say. There is a sheet of numbered setup instructions with pictures showing how to connect the (wonderfully long) AC adapter and how to find the network icon (lower right-hand corner of the screen). The next picture shows where to find keys, buttons, and ports. The next section shows where to find additional information from the laptop and online. Really cool is the robo-assistant, Cortana, a woman's voice that walks you through setup and lets you know you're doing it correctly (or not) – it was very helpful for wi-fi setup). The Cortana assistant may be reached again under Window Settings for further help. On the back of the setup sheet are handy “Touch Gestures” with illustrations for people who are not used to a touchpad (actually, I've been using one for years and I learned a few new moves). I needed to ponder how to set up email because it didn't sync on my first try. I then went under Manage Accounts and copied the settings from my other devices to success. Microsoft Office is pre-installed (with the option of upgrading to Office 365 as a purchase). I did not upgrade as the system already has Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Calendar, People, Sway, and Forms included – everything I need and more. The Start Menu accesses great graphics on the screen where you can easily connect to your calendar, Mail, Office, pre-installed (free) games, Microsoft Edge, News, Paint, and Weather. There are also options to purchase Adobe Photoshop, McAfee Virus Protection (I added the new laptop to my existing coverage), Vudu Movies, and Netflix. I have only had this laptop for a couple of weeks and I know there are other features I still have to discover, but this is a terrific laptop, and at only 3 pounds, it is easy to tote. I chose the royal blue casing, which is closer to navy, and looks nice.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
So first off I don't know how this got so many good reviews, it is literally a piece of crap. I've had it for 6 months and all of a sudden there's no storage. The operating system takes up 80% of the storage. Would never recommend this to others... spend a little more and get a better option!

    I am reviewing this HP Stream 14 Laptop 14, Intel Celeron N4000, Intel UHD Graphics 600, 4GB SDRAM, 32GB eMMC, Office 365 1 and I am so glad that we have this laptop as it is fast! My husband used it for one day and he said he is very impressed with this for the small size of the memory 4 ram as we have always had 8 on our laptops and assumed one with only 4 it would be slow. Wrong, as it is very peppy and opens pages when surfing the internet very quickly. In fact he likes it better than his regular laptop as he can get on the internet faster and do his searches and check email a lot faster so it saves him a lot of time of waiting for things to load like it does on his bigger windows laptop. This has windows on it is why I don not understand how it can be so fast getting it going as any windows laptop we have we have to wait for everything to load before we can do our searches . The fact that it has a tiny hard drive has not been an issue as it does everything just perfectly fine but we havent stored any photos or videos on it. The size of this laptop is wonderful as it is smaller and thinnner so easy to carry around yet does the job of a big laptop. We would highly recommend this laptop to anyone wanting a fast machine that they don't plan on storing a lot on it. We love it! I forgot to mention the battery life is great, it lasts a long time, much longer than it does on my bigger laptop.

    Great laptop!
    I received this and set it up immediately. Set up was quick and easy and the voice assistant guided me through every step. It comes with Windows 10 which is easy to navigate and user friendly. It has plenty of memory and works great for my home use and would be good for school as well. The 14 inch display is great! I opened several tabs and applications and it still ran quickly. It comes with a year of Home and Office which I liked. The graphics are good. The plain black looks sleek. I also have an HP desktop computer and I like the brand. I have no complaints and highly recommend! Thanks HP for a great product!

    Amazing and affordable laptop
    I really love this laptop. It is very thin and lightweight which makes traveling with it really easy and convenient. Upon setting up the laptop there is a voice automated system that walks you step by step through the entire process. This tool is so great for anyone that has difficulty with setting up new devices. The layout of the home screen and search engines is so nice and makes navigating your new computer so much easier. You can use the voice recognition tool to search things on the laptop. The camera takes really good quality images and is very clear. The letters on the keyboard are large and all capitalized which helps with someone who has impaired vision. This laptop is great for home use but it's light weight design makes it really great for someone to use while traveling to school, work, etc.

    For couch surfing only
    I don't do any gaming; I use a computer to surf the web, read my emails, and check out social media. That being said... Pros: Lightweight Solid State Drive Pretty colors to choose from Cons: Small storage space (32GB SSD) Weak Processor General Thoughts and Review: Lightweight laptop that is good for couch surfing the internet and reading a few documents but not good for much else. I wouldn't recommend this laptop for work, school, or even higher end personal use (ie gaming, drafting, etc). The SSD makes for a somewhat fast laptop but the slower processor hinders it a bit. Also the SSD is small at only 32GB and gets even smaller after Windows, Office, and other basic applications are added. Laptop also comes with Win10 loaded to "S-mode" which is a little annoying to switch into regular Win10 Home edition. Overall a good browsing and media watching computer that makes you wish it could do just a few more things. But like I said, this laptop is only going to be used to read/write emails, check out social media, and maybe watch a movie or two.

    I can't say enough about this product. It's perfect in every way possible. It's easy to use, and beautiful. It starts up fast, it's lightweight. Making it easy to take anywhere with you, especially if you have a large enough handbag, you dont jeed an additional case. My husband uses it to watch his MLB games online. The screen is large and has a crisp clear picture. It's easy to set up with the set up prompts and has a one year free use of Office Word. I certainly recommend this great Hewlett Packard product, and the rose gold color is just gorgeous. It looks like a fine piece of jewelry! You won't regret purchasing it for yourself or someone else. Especially a student. I'm using it to write this review from my sofa. I LOVE IT!

    Great for working at home
    I enjoy this laptop. Its my first laptop and was very easy to set up. Im not a fan of having mircosoft making me register and add my phone number and all my information. I just want to turn it on and go. It was very easy to set up and it has a computer helper that speaks to you that will walk you through everything. However, I wanted to move my vinyl business to being mobile and needed a laptop to do so. This laptop is great and I can now take my business on the go! Overall, its a great starter computer!

    It was very surprising and easy that the computer had a voice turn on and help with vocal commands from me. The battery life lasted all day at work. Easily. The size Is perfect for my work bag. Its super slim. Honestly, on day 3 of use o have zero complaints.

    HP Stream 14 Laptop 14, Intel Celeron N4000, Intel UHD Graphics 600, 4GB SDRAM, 32GB eMMC, Office 365 1yr, Rose Pink, 14-cb163wm ………….. I am very happy with this machine …. I am happy with the power and speed of the machine, the number of USB ports, the size and weight of the machine, and I love the color. Mine is pink …. This also has a good HDMI port but I don't use that port... I like the case. The color is nice and I like the texture of the laptop. …. I am in Love with this laptop!!!! it does what I need and more!! I've always spent a lot of money on expensive computers but this is my favorite of all time!! battery life is amazing!!!! just needed something for everyday use and this has done just that for me! Very beautiful, and easy to set up.... So in conclusion this is a great laptop for basic usage and for low end gaming.... YES, I do recommend this little Laptop...
