Incredible product for simmers.
Firstly, if you're a gamer, this product is untouchable for sims. Driving sims and flight sims are in another dimension!!! The clarity of audio and visual. The lightweight is impressive! I am 100% satisfied... now for the cons... you can't get a better experience than Index Knuckle Controllers to go with this headset. Still less expensive than an index. AND apparently this headset will not function on usb 3.1... only USB 3.0.... WMR controllers are only good for slow paced games or beatsaber. Overall I highly recommend!!!!

Broke within hours.
Item has known issues with AMD X570 Chipset. Took 8 hours of troubleshooting to get it halfway working on a brand new PC build running an Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, 32 GB of RAM, & a RTX 3060ti video card. After having to update the BIOS, change BIOS settings to force usage of PCI-E Gen 3 in place of Gen 4, and the purchase of a powered PCI-E USB 3 card this headset then started to develop an issue where the display would just stop working. Audio was still transmitting and WMR preview was still showing that the headset was connected. All in all the headset worked for about 15 hours. During those 15 hours we enjoyed it and I was impressed with the resolution of the display. I was not impressed with the small field of view or the relatively small "Sweet spot" of clarity. Headset speakers delivered decent sound and the overall weight of the headset was lighter than most. Returned due to defective headset.

Amazing quality VR, at a decent price!
This headset honestly blew me away. Great resolution, amazing audio, and tracking is honestly not half bad. This headset is among the more comfortable ones I've ever used, and it's by far my favorite one! Amazing job, HP!

    Amazing tracking, awful quality
I bought this last month and am pretty unhappy with the experience. The plastic creaks like crazy, there's a split at one of the joints. Tracking is amazing but being stuck using WMR before you can access SteamVR is a pain. Supper high resolution display though - zero screen door affect is great. The controllers are worse than joy-cons - sharp and with poor button placement. The windows key is handy but having two is excessive. Lack of a touch-pad limits game compatibility. The focal distance is really short - if it's not sitting on your face exactly centered there's tons of distortion. The speakers have fantastic sound quality and positioning, but suffer from dropouts (usually in one ear and requires jiggling to solve).

    Clear graphics otherwise average
The image is one of the clearest but falls short on FOV and fit. I have Pimax 5k Plus and 8k Plus both excellent in FOV . The HP is collecting dust on my shelf due to compatibility issues and forced to use Steam for DCS. I realize this is a harsh review..For those new to PC VR this is a good headset..But for those of us enthusiasts not great. Battery life on crotrillers is also an issue along with tracking issues.. Average with great clarity..Should of returned it.

    I'm very impressed
I was an early VR adopter with the original Rift prototype. I waited 8 years until there was a product that had no screen door effect. After having used this for awhile I must say while not perfect, it gives an amazing VR experience. Everything is clear and sharp. The headset is comfortable and well built and adjustable. The tracking isn't the best, but it gets the job done. I think this product has the best mix of price and features. I highly recommend if you want a high fidelity experience and don't mind being tethered to a computer.

    Great headset
I was looking for a VR headset from a company that was not affiliated with facebook in any way. After doing some research, I stumbled across this headset. I did not know that HP made VR headsets at all, let alone had two generations of them. While the headset seemed expensive at first, I believe it is well worth it. The image quality is outstanding, and the 90hz refresh rate is great. Games feel very smooth, and thus very lifelike. The smoothness also seems to help cut down on motion sickness, in my experience. The headset is comfortable, and I have been able to wear it for 4+ hours at a time without needing to remove it. The controllers are pretty good, though in my experience, they go through batteries fairly quickly. It is also common to accidentally hit them against each other due to the large rings that they have, but once you get used to using them this becomes less of an issue. The cable that runs from the headset to the PC is very long, and in the 200sq ft room that I have my VR setup in, I have not ran into any issues with length, though I think mounting the cable from the ceiling would be a great upgrade. All in all, this is a great VR headset that is well worth the price. My PC is running an intel i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, and an RTX 3080, and I have been able to run every game I've tried at high settings with over 60 fps (except microsoft flight simulator, which only runs on medium settings. Still looks amazing though).
