Light weight laptop
I got the laptop as a spare for my office work and when my wife used it, I never got it back. I have not used a RYZEN 3 chip, until I got this laptop. She loves the laptop it is much lighter than her old Black Friday special and a whole lot faster. The finish of the material is a nice looking silver color, the material looks almost like aluminum, but is a fairly solid plastic. The initial setup was straight forward and simple, you can do it all by voice or type in your answers. There were a lot of updates to be installed, and after some software installation, we were on the road. I did uninstall some bloatware and change a few settings. After a lot of work on the laptop, I did notice the fan ramping up to a high speed, but it was still pretty quite, normal running speed is very quite. The display is nice, the colors seem vibrant and non bled through any of the games or pictures. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, HDMI and a SD card slot. For general home use and light gaming, she has been very happy with the laptop.

Good Entry Level Computer
This 14” HP laptop is a mediocre machine and hard to recommend except as a basic machine for single tasks. This laptop is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 3 processor (which generally gets decent reviews elsewhere). It also comes with 4gb of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. It's hard to complain about the generous size of the hard drive as even today, 1 TB is a good size, even if you tend to download your music or videos rather than only stream. The 4gb of RAM is where it starts to get weak. I had problems with extremely slow performance once I opened more than a half a dozen browser windows. A quick check using Windows Task Manager showed that the memory was heavily taxed with very little room left. This machine seems like it would definitely benefit from an additional 4 gb RAM. My other negative comment has to do with the screen resolution as it only has a 1366 X 768 resolution. While that was a great screen resolution 10 years ago, it's definitely on the low side in these times. Your 1080p movies won't look as good, but you probably won't see the difference when watching a 720p resolution video. On the positive side, despite it lower resolution, the display is very sharp and bright. As for other features, this laptop has two USB-A slots, one USB-C port, an SD card slot and an RJ-45 network cable connection. The latter is not as common on laptops today, so if you would like to hook into your home or work network with a cable instead of WiFi, this feature will keep you from having to purchase an RJ-45 to USB adapter. All in all, this computer is good for single functions like email checking, web browsing (just don't open too many web pages in separate tabs or windows). It will also work well for streaming music or video, again with the same caveat. So, bottom line, if you need a basic computer for basic tasks, this one will work just fine. However, if you need to do any multitasking, or extensive web browsing in multiple open windows, just keep looking!

    So this laptop only took me 8 min to set up it came to my neighbors house instead of mine that the a fine this laptop is 100% worth my money it is the fastest computer I have have so far in my life and the graphics are so good and the mousepad move so fast and if you want a computer to game on like me I would 100% get this one and it was so fast to come to my house and if you need a laptop for school or work or a small business you need this one it not that much to spend it has everything u need on it so when you need a laptop this is the one for u it work so so so good 100000000% recommend for you thanks for reading my review by.thebestbuyer

    It was a easy set up . Sleek look and very light. Screen is clear. So that will come in handy when I am ready to travel. Came with a disposable case . I did buy a real one . However was glad I could keep it safe till then . It did arrive on time. It came with s mode . It was easy to remove so I can download my files . Over all I love it.

    Slick and lightweight
    The HP 14 RYZEN 3 4GB/1TB LAPTOP has been a wonderful addition to our home. My 10 year old daughter was able to jump right in and start using this laptop with ease. This laptop has large keys which are nice. It has a long battery life of around 9 hours. It also includes a fast charger which comes in really handy. While stuck at home in quarantine we needed a laptop for my daughter to do her school work on. Thanks to the light weight design and quick processor this has been extremely helpful. This laptop includes 1 terrabyte of hard drive. I would highly recommend this laptop to everyone. Has amazing graphics, streams very well, and has everything that you could need.

    Nice Slim Computer
    I have the HP 14 Ryzen 3 laptop computer in a silver color. This laptop comes with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB solid-state drive. This is a nice size device as it is a slim notebook PC weighing in at just under four pounds. This is an easy laptop to carry around between classes and work. You are probably not going to be doing much gaming on this laptop with only 4GB of ram. You can, however, with ease watch Netflix, do work with Word or Excel documents, and spend plenty of time scrolling through the web. I quickly noticed some issues with the laptop before even turning it on. First, the bezels on the monitor are massive compared to the size of the screen. Second, the key switches are membrane and feel very mushy while typing. Since I code a lot, but had no computer to use on trips, I find this laptop to be perfect for coding and browsing the web. If you are planning to watch videos or Netflix be prepared to grab you some earbuds as the speakers are not the best. The mic is also below par for standards today, but that's not too big a deal. The webcam is laggy, but it does get the job done. So, just understand what you are getting, a nice compact laptop that is small and light and that can perform most computing jobs just fine. It is not meant to be a high-end gaming laptop with plenty of storage so do not buy it with gaming in mind.

    Fast, small, good battery
    We are very pleased with this laptop. It is relatively small but that also make it lightweight and easily portable. The speed is fantastic and it feels sturdy and well built. It also has an excellent battery life and has been working well for zoom video calls.

    Not a lot of extras, but it performs flawlessly
    I have a 15.6 Dell Lattitude laptop that has a lot of bells and whistles, but it's large, heavy, and requires a lot of maintenance. I have a small home based business and really wanted a second laptop that I could use strictly for personal use. This HP is a perfect fit for my needs, and exactly what I hoped for. It's important to know that this laptop runs windows 10 in S mode. I had no idea what S mode was, so that was a frustration right off the bat. S mode is safe mode, and it certainly wasn't feasible for my needs. It took some time and research to turn off the S mode, but I got it figured out and Windows is running out of safe mode. After that I ran 48 updates, then configured the settings/ apps that I use in my personal life. Very simple. WiFi and Bluetooth connected flawlessly, set up my printers, then tested my projector using hdmi port. This was important because we have movie night outside for family and friends, and my Dell laptop did not have an hdmi port. The projector ran perfectly after doing a few easy settings, and the video picture was just beautiful on the screen. We have been running this projector on different devices trying to achieve the quality of sound and picture that we received immediately running off this laptop. This laptop has an HD webcam. I really didn't think too much about a webcam because the picture quality has always been good enough, or terrible on other devices. I use the webcam daily for zoom meetings, and Skype. I couldn't believe the difference in picture definition with a HD Webcam. It was a great discovery along with being able to move around my house with this portable laptop. After a full charge I was able to stream live tv for a solid 7.5 hours without charging. A decent battery life, hdmi capability, ability to stream without crashing, lightweight and portable were the big things I was wanting in a laptop. I wished it was touch screen, but I use a wireless mouse, and trying to break the habit of touching the screen. I'm still working on getting the laptop set up for me, but it has quickly became my go to device.

    Great for on-the-go
    I received the HP 14 RYZEN 3 4GB/1TB LAPTOP-SILVER. At first glace, it was smaller than I expected and I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't a touch screen. I think all computers at this time of age should include a touch screen. Yet when I began to set it up and use it, I was very pleased. The actual set up is very simple, which I appreciated. It is very lightweight with a nice slim and sleek modern appearance. I really enjoyed how convenient and portable it was for quick on the go trips. I was very pleased with the long lasting battery life and also the HD webcam. This laptop comes with 4GB, 1TB HDD, Windows 10, and AMD Ryzen 3 processor. Overall, I would have liked it better if the laptop was touchscreen but I would still recommend it.

    This HP RYZEN 3 laptop computer model #14-dk1022wm is built with an AMD RYZEN 3 3250U dual core 2.6GHZ processor with RADEON VEGA 3 graphics. For storage it has a 128GB SSD hard drive. For speed it has 4GB of DDR4 system memory. The mouse touch pad is multi-functional, easy to use and accurate. The battery can last up to 8 hours on a single charge. The built in camera and microphone are of adequate quality. The built in WIFI receiver gets a good signal. This laptop has 8 built in plugs for external devices they are: 2-standard USB, 1-micro USB, 1-HDMI, 1-headphone, 1-RJ-45, 1-card reader and 1-for a security cable. The keyboard has large keys that are easy to read but they are not back lit and this keyboard lacks a separate numbers pad. This laptop does not have a built in optical drive. The operating system is WINDOWS 10 S MODE which is WINDOWS high security system. WIN-10-S will only allow programs to be added to this computer that come from the MICRSOFT store. You can convert the operating system to WINDOWS 10 HOME but if you do you cannot convert back to WIN-10-S. This computer is relatively fast and streams movies or shows efficiently. The light weight and slim design make this computer ideal for a student or a traveler. The cost of it also makes it desirable if you have a few children that need a laptop for school.
