    Good and heavy
    The one umbrella stand I had bought a couple years ago was basically a cheap composite that crumbled to pieces since I had bought it (and what a mess it was). So I chose this one since it different material and decorative. It's pretty heavy, so I know it will not topple over. Took a couple try outs to get the right tool to tighten the nut on the underside of the base, but once that's set, the umbrella fits right into it. Very nice item. I believe it was on sale when I bought it too. I like it much better!

    Great looking base
    I'm impressed with this base. It is quite heavy to withstand wind gusts and was dead-sumple to assemble. It is nice looking and, for the money, is a great value.

    Good and bad
    I purchased two stands and both arrived on time. In my opinion they look great and seem well built except the bolts sent with each unit were too short. As an ex-engineer such a mistake really annoys me but the company quickly responded saying they would send replacements. That was good. Unfortunately only one replacement arrived and you guessed it, same too short of bolt. The last thing I wanted to do was to go to a hardware store for two bolts in the middle of a pandemic but I did and Ace had the correct size. With proper parts these are great and I would recommend them but the company has to do a better job with quality control.
