Don't buy it
If you are looking for leca to mix in with your soil, or use as a topper, this will meet your needs. But if you are going to use it for semi-hydroponics like I was going to, this stuff is awful. Every single piece floats, even after soaking for over 24 hours. It's completely unusable. What a total waste.

    Perfect for hydroponics!
    This is perfect for my hydroponics system which I am using for the first time this year. The small amount that you have to use does not crush the plant!

    Not as claimed. Probably fine if not submerged.
    The bag says the clay pebbles "do not float". I need it for a pond lily, but when I put the pot in the water, the pebbles all floated out instantly all over the surface of the pond. I later tried letting them sit in a (full) sink for a day and a half. They were still floating.

    The bad arrived opened, however the weight was correct. The quality of pebbles is bad. They are good enough to be used as a drainage for plants but not in transparent pots. Will use these pebbles but had to buy another better quality.

    It works.
    I used this for deep planters to retain moisture and to provide proper drainage. I put potting soil on top of it.
