Great product!
These are a great paper plate! I buy them because of the grease resistant coating. They are heavier than typical paper plates and nothing seems to get through to the other side. And they are much cheaper than similar name brand products.

flimsy
I used to love the coates paper plates. now they are so cheap and flimsy I can't even set a piece of toast on the plate without it bending in half. You have to double up the plates which defeats the whole purpose of buying coated in the first place.

    Reduced Quality
We used to buy Great Value coated paper plates all the time. After this batch, no more... in a word, FLIMSY.

    Better Plates
The plates were great except when used inn microwave you need to use more than one plate because one plate gets flimsy and weak, So I just use at least 3 plates . They could be made stronger.

    Coated flat paper "plates"
I too use to love these when they were actually plates. Not anymore! I chose to do a grocery pick up order a few months ago and when I got home and started to put my items away I saw how the plates were. They are flat. Please, save your money and do not buy unless you are in the store and can see the difference. The quality has definitely gone down.

these were great plates until my resent order.they must have changed vendors because this 140 pack was not much thicker than an old pack we had that is only a 70 pack.

Definitely an in store purchase only in the future
The box that my paper plates arrived in appeared to have been used as a football, then a bean bag, and lastly, a piece of folded up cardboard to hold packing tape upon packing tape. The plates inside were okay, barely being held in by their plastic shrink wrap that did not have much shrink to it. The plates are not curved at the edge and will not be able to hold much on it besides a flat sandwich. It appears there were some steps skipped (maybe broken down assembly line machines) and these paper plates are not the higher quality of Great Value that we are used to.

Quality has chg'd now a BAD value
These paper plates used to be the best, but not any more! I always purchased heavy duty because they held up. My husband picked up a pkg yesterday, and when I saw them on the counter I asked why he bought the cheap ones?? He said he bought heavy duty. I checked the pkg they came out of and it said 'heavy duty'?? Not! I still had some leftover from a package I purchased a while back that also said 'heavy duty'. The new pkg plates are thinner, not as fluted and even the paper it is made out of is different -- it's not as shiny so I assume they aren't coated. Translation -- we are being sold the cheap ones that you have to use 2 or 3 at one time because they don't hold up. I guess Walmart changed it's supplier or the supplier went to a cheaper paper and processing method. Makes me wonder what other 'Great Value' products have changed?
