The foot pedal works! Yeah!
After reading the reviews about the foot pedal, I was hesitant to purchase this product. We needed large waste bins, so I want to give it a try. The bins arrived quickly, and the package was intact. Assembling the bin is a breeze. It took me about 15 seconds to assemble them. I stepped on the pedal gently and the lid popped open like a charm, no hassle at all. I played with it multiple times, no issues were found. I am happy with this product.

Doesn't open when stepped on
The lid does not open without assistance of your hand when stepping on the step lever. I got two cans and they both do the same thing which, defeats the purpose of the Step can (hands free) trash can. I've tried bending the lid rim so it has a looser fit so it could lift off the can easier and it works for a one time only then it goes right back to lid not raising when you step on the foot step. It's extremely frustrating and disappointing waste of my money and now a days with inflation I paid a lot for these two pieces of plastic.

    Not worth it
    The first trash can pedal broke the same day. The top gets stuck and doesn't want to open when pressing on pedal.

    These are cheap, the lid does not open when you fully press down the pedal you have to still open it with your hands. In the photo I am fully pressing down on the pedal with my foot. Lid is still not open

    Awful!
    When I received the order, one of the trash cans was broken (and the broken piece wasn't in there, so they literally shipped me an already broken trash can) When using the not broken trash can, the lid won't open with a trash bag inside, but will open without one, so it defeats the purpose of even buying it. Not to mention, a 13 gallon sized trash bag doesn't even fit in the 13 gallon trash can.. it rips because the trash can is too big, must use a bigger size bag.

    Half broken, cheaply made
    Came with one can broken. I still can put the lid on, but the foot pedal plastic was busted off. One side is in the box and the other is no where to be found. So I'm guessing it shipped broken already. Also it had no padding in the box what so ever. It's very thin plastic and the bag holders do not snap correctly either. All around just not that great of a product….. But it was very cheap price wise, being $27 for the two cans, so you get what you pay for. I got one can that works as advertised so that's why I gave a 2 star instead of 1.

    Disappointed
    I like the cans, but I ordered a total of four. One came with the fobs of the foot pedal sheared off, which makes it useless as a step can. With all of the hassle of moving into a new house, there was no way I could make the return date deadline, which was way too short.

    I would not buy this again. I thought I was getting a deal. However, the first time I stepped on the second one to open the top and it broke. Luckily since there were two, and the other/first one actually worked without breaking, I have one functioning trash can.

    GARBAGE
    Complete GARBAGE! Fresh out of the box can one had a broken foot pedal. Completely broken off. Ok, I'll start a return and use can 2 in the mean time... Assemble can two, the lid doesn't come open when you step on the pedal. The whole trash can flexes like it's trying to open the lid, but it won't open at all. Save your time and go ahead and buy a better quality can.
