Happy Legs!
I don’t know about you, but I have to shave my legs every few days. This is why I was a little sceptical about using the Gillette Venus Silk-expert. Especially after reading the box, which clarifies exactly what skin tones this unit works best with. So I recommend you read the box before using it. Plus it’s super easy to assemble and use.I’m pleased to tell you that after using the Gillette Venus Silk-expert for the past three weeks I have seen a huge reduction in my hair growth. I would totally recommend the Gillette Venus Silk-expert to anyone who has to shave their legs several times a week. It’s a little pricy but totally worth it. Oh and FYI don’t be worried if you have tattoos, it does not affect them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Time will tell...
Ever since I heard about in home Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, I have been dying to try it! Clinical studies have shown these systems can be a highly effective in reducing hair growth for extended periods of time. When my Gillette Venus Silk * Expert 3 came in the mail, I was almost beside myself with eagerness! The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. You prepare the treatment area using your preferred hair removal method (I used the complimentary Gillette Venus razor - an added bonus item which came with the product). This allows the Silk-expert to correctly target the melatonin in the skin, thereby disabling the hair follicle (I learned that from the very informative instruction manual). Once your skin has been pre-treated, simply plug in the product, place the SensoAdapt automatic skin tone sensors to your skin, make sure the LED power bars light up on both sides and push the button! Glide it along your skin and the Silk-expert does the rest. I started out using the Silk-expert everywhere it is recommended for use: legs, arms, underarms, bikini area and face, below the cheekbones. Thats right - I pretty much have hair EVERYWHERE! While I believe the amount of time it takes for the product to treat each area is reasonable, I found that shaving then treating everything all areas at once was too time consuming for my daily routine. I decided to target my least favorite shaving areas first instead. Once I have completed the 12 week treatment period for these areas, I will move on to other treatment areas until it's all gone! While I would love to give the Silk-expert a 5 star review right now due to its informatively written instruction manual, it's ease of use, and the fact that I can barely even feel it while it is working (It was NEVER painful for me), I haven't seen any results just yet. The manual states that when used correctly, a reduction in hair growth should become noticeable around 6 weeks of use. I have only been using the Silk-expert for 5 weeks, so I'm not worried about it yet. If the product is as effective for me as it was in the clinical trials, it will be one of my favorite products ever. If it turns out not to work so well (results may vary from person to person), then I will be more than a little disappointed. For now though, I think it is easy to setup and use, and I'm holding my breath that it will become a product that I can't stop raving about! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Hello short-shorts and mini skirts!
    Prior to using the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL BD 3001, my preferred (and sole) hair removal method was cream. As I have never shaved my legs, hair re-growth speed and thickness were never problems of mine. However, the hair removal creams always left unsightly marks where the hair grew. I was relieved to learn that I could use my preferred hair removal method instead of having to shave prior to using the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL BD 3001. It is rather simple to use upon hair removal - (1) press the device firmly to the skin, (2) wait for the power bar sensor lights to light up, and (3) hold the button. The treatment is relatively painless, although I do have a high threshold for pain. The light that goes off when holding the button is really bright, so I closed my eyes when I held the button after seeing the power bar light up. After one treatment of the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL BD 3001, the hair grew in more sparse and there was a noticeable decrease in the number of marks from the cream. Overall, I am happy with the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL BD 3001 and will continue to use it along with hair removal cream. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Gillette Venus Silk-Expert IPL
    Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical of this product at first. I have no familiarity with IPL products nor have I ever had laser hair removal done. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and how painless it was! When I first started, the light flashing and the popping noise was a little intimidating at first, but it is absolutely pain free. I have used the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL for only 4 weeks and have seen improvement already. I have light hair on my legs but dark underarm hair, so I wanted to see the results for both. I definitely have seen more dramatic visible improvement in my underarm, but was pleasantly surprised that my legs feel more freshly shaved for much longer after treatment. I look forward to continuing with treatments and seeing even more results. Definitely worth the purchase if your wanting a less invasive option for hair removal!     The Silk-expert IPL is amazing!
    The Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL has been an amazing product for me. Professional hair removal services are very costly and time consuming. Using this device is incredibly easy – just plug into the wall and you’re ready to use it! Reading the instructions on this product is a must as there are a lot of Do’s and Don’ts to this device. It’s for a good reason, too! It really works and it works well. I have fair skin and dark hair. Within a week or two I noticed a noticeable difference in hair regrowth. It was most definitely a confident booster for me. My husband is even interested in this product as it shows that it works for men, too! As mentioned before, it is incredibly easy to use. It takes only a few minutes of your day. It does say to achieve maximum results use once a week for 12 weeks. Do you have any idea what that service would cost in a professional setting?! I am so happy that this product is available for a small fraction of the cost. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL.     Gillette Venue Expert IPL BD 3001
    So, to start off, this product has been awesome! I've only used it once and I can already tell a dramatic difference in my hair growth. My hair usually grows back the next day and it didn't at all! This is so exciting for me, I didn't see any hair growth until four days later and it was only slight hair growth. There was no uncomfortable feeling at all from it. I think it's really cool how there are two different settings on it, as well. There are only a couple of things I did not like about it. I thought it got heavy after a little while. My legs are kind of bony in the very front so I could not get it to sense there but it still has no hair growth, so I'm not too concerned about that.     I wanted to try one of these and I have to say it’s actually a great product! I read the directions, put it on gentle mode and went to town gliding it along my leg. I was worried it would be painful but to my surprise it was more short blasts of heat rather than pain. The light that emits is bright so I looked away each time it pulsed. Gillette should look into adding IPL glasses to this product. It also took a second between each pulse to recharge and I found it difficult to use around smaller areas (knees, ankles, etc). The workaround for those areas is to avoid the gliding method and hold the IPL directly on the skin. I’m impressed with the results so far as I’ve used it for several weeks now. The instructions advise using it weekly for 12 weeks and then taper to monthly. I’m excited to continue my hair removal journey and am no longer skeptical about IPL devices.     I used Gillette Venus Silk-expert on my armpits four days ago and I can say that this brand really works! Before if I shave, I can already see and feel some visible hair coming out the next day. And honestly, I hate the feeling of itchiness when hair is growing back in this area. But now, I am confident to say that this brand will really make wonders and magic for me. I used it after I shower, I made sure I am dry all over. And I did not put anything yet on my armpits like deodorant, powder, etc. I set the device on a gentle mode because Im a new user and it gives me tingling sensation at first press.     Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL week 3
    So the whole process takes 12+ weeks, in which you use the IPL device once a week for 12 weeks. I have made it through 3 weeks. I can't give it 5 stars because I won't know for sure until week 12. I'm using it on my underarms and bikini area to start. I feel like I notice less growth in my underarms, but I'm not super hairy to begin with so its still a little difficult to tell. Pros: It is very easy to use, painless and the instructions are clear. Cons: the swipe doesn't work, you have to use the point and shoot. It is painless and I'm very optimistic, but I can't tell if I'm getting the results I want or not.     The Gillette Venus IPL is simple to use! First, make sure your skin is clean , shaved, and dry before using this product. Then, plug in and get started! One thing you need to keep in mind is that this is a 12 week long process, so don't expect to see results right away. This is not for instant hair removal! You do one pass per week, for 12 weeks, each time starting again with clean shaven skin. I had no discomfort at all while using this product, though it does get a little warm while in use.
