Horrific condition upon arrival.
Item arrived in a severely damaged/dented/water damaged box. Whereever this was stored, it recievwd EXTREMELY POOR care before it arrived on my porch this morning. I am afraid to open it to see how bad the damage is. When I did decide to open it instead of return it immediately (Hey, it'sbkistering hot and I NEED this AC unit!) it is dented on three sides.

Somehow during delivery it got a deep indentation on one side and is a bit lopsided with a bulge. Here is to hoping once it is installed it works. Too heavy and too to return. Fingers crossed it works. If not, it is going back. Please ask that they be careful during delivery.Laura

I got tired of our electric bill being almost $500 every summer due to an old unit and horrible insulation, so I bought the first 2 and placed one in my room and one in our dining room. Just by having the one in the dining room, I can fully tell the difference within the living room as well as the kitchen. During the summer our central unit would stay on non stop and still would not get cooler than 85° during 100° Temps. Now, when it's that hot outside, our house stays at a comfy 73°, and our bill has been around $350 during the summer. Still high, but way better than $500!! I recently purchased another one for our son's room since they've worked so well in the other parts of the house, and his room got so cold he had to turn his off in the middle of the night lol. I am disappointed with the delivery. They dropped the box and it has a huge ding on the side which causes it to be a little loud while running, but other than that I highly recommend buying this unit.Brandi

It cools a room fast, and the various fan speed/temperature controls help you adjust to varying weather patterns. The auto feature keeps your room cool at a constant temperature without having to continuously make manual adjustments. I don't even have to get out of bed to change the speed/mode/temp. - the convenient remote works perfectly. Only minor issue is a lot of condensation forms inside the unit so make sure your unit is angled/tilted back in the window. If it isn't, you will have water leaking from the front and onto your bedroom floor - A LOT of it too (i.e. a pond). The plug may be removed to help decrease so much water accumulating in back of unit. Overall, this air conditioner works great, cools fast and efficiently, and looks sleak too. GE is a valuable, durable, and trusted household brand for all appliances.BRANDON

Disappointed to say the least, but it was too hot to return it and wait for a new one to ship, and it still works. It does seem to work well, my 350 square foot apartment is adequately cooled in 2 of the 3 rooms.Cassandra

I really like the price and having the remote helps so I don't need to get out of bed to turn it off if I gets to cold. It is not that loud helps me sleep great. Also fit in my window well. I live in Florida I put in the back on the outside of the unit the fiberglass bug screen so that the no-see-ums bugs or any other kind of bugs can ruin the AC unit it is also fireproof to protect it.Linda

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/11/2021defected air conditionerI got this air conditioner in April and a couple months later a red button started flashing above where it says "filter" when it was on but went away. now it's on flashing when my ac isn't on and it also started turning itself off during the middle of the night when I haven't even switched the mode. it should only do that on eco. what is wrong with my air conditioner?Bree
