Quality at a great price
Absolutely perfect! Sleek design, extremely quiet, easy to use. Instructions are step by step with photos. Beware, Fed Ex delivers to your porch for everyone to see, no brown paper over it, no box to hide what it is. Although they do notify you when it will be delivered. So make sure someone is home.

EC code with unit shutdown
I've had this unit for less than a year. It worked great during the humid weather last summer/fall, although I wasn't thrilled with the top fan exhaust. The dehumidifier doesn't run during the winter, but when it went to start running this spring, it quit and generated an EC code. I unplugged it and let it sit per the instructions given and it still generates the EC code and shuts off when plugged back in.

    Easy to clean washable filter for model FFAD5033W10
    The manual depicts a filter that you remove from the grill. The grill has a screen made to it with additional clips for a filter like the one pictured in the manual. The filter wasn't included in the box. The customer service rep says the permanent screen is the filter.

    Didn't last!
    This unit worked satisfactorily for 18 months, but then it would no longer reduce the humidity low enough to reach the desired level. I found that the unit was icing up, despite the air filter and inside of the unit being clean. Of course, the unit is no longer under warranty, so I am faced with purchasing a replacement unit. There is no excuse for this to happen after such a short period of time. Needless to say, the replacement will not be another Frigidaire!

    Dehumidifier
    The Frigidaire dehumidifier is a great machine and really does a good job of controlling the humidity levels. I have used mine in a 950 and 1500sqft apartments. It provides humidity control for the entire apartment. I use the hose attachment when I go out of town but otherwise empty out the jug 1 sometimes 2 times a day. My only complaint is the plastic laminate over the control module is starting to show a lot of ware already. Not sure if this has been fixed with the updated models but I would still recommend this product.

    Delivery unacceptable!
    The fridgidare dehumidifier itself seems to be operating just fine so far. My issue is with the delivery. The box has markings showing which way the item is to be turned upside, however the delivery person left it upside down on my front porch. I found the top of the unit with a crack in the top. Since I had already waited for delivery, I will wait to see if any problems occur. I can deal with the crack as long as it doesn't effect operation of the item. I would recommend the dehumidifier so far, but definitely not the FedEx delivery person! I will give an update if problems occur. After two hours of use the humidity in my house dropped by 8% on continuous use. Fan does put out warm air and it does make noise but no more than a regular fan. So hopefully the crack is just cosmetic. 1 star is for the delivery, I changed it to 3 because out of fairness the item itself works as described.

    No Water Pump - Confused
    Dehumidifies well. Did Not come with internal pump like pictures show. The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 Has a pump. The Frigidaire FFAD5033W1 Does Not have a pump. The pictures do not match what I received. I received a pumpless model of dehumidifier. You must empty the bucket or passively drain by hose in the floor by gravity. The compressor makes a noise when stopping like a couple chugs or soft thuds. Worried about longevity.

    Ruined my new laminate flooring
    I have a smaller Frigidaire unit that works amazing. Decided to get this bigger unit and move the smaller to a bedroom. I noticed after using for a week that there really wasn't a lot of water in the tub to be dumped. It was running (loud fan noise and compressor thumps when shutting off) so i thought nothing of it. I pulled my couch out to sweep behind it and water everywhere. The seams on my flooring were swelled up. Ruined!!!! I have propane heat and a dehumidifier is definitely needed. I've had my smaller unit 2 years and never had this happen. I plugged up the smaller unit and no problems. I should have noticed the sweat on my windows (red flag that it wasn't working) but blinds covered them. There is also a leak from the bottom, puddles up and also ruin flooring there. I would say it's like the water is not running in the tub correctly. Total crap. I decided to read the “bad” reviews today. Everything that happened to me was in the reviews.

    Flawless, Quiet, Fast.
    Flawless and simple after a month of use. Extended 5 yr warranty only -$45. Sucks water out of the air amazingly fast and keeps it at 40% humidity, or wherever you set it. Overkill for our RV but would get the same one again. After 2 people taking showers, humidity is gone, keeping it at 40%. Big and heavy but we keep ours on the counter. Easy to dump water. Whisper quiet. It regulates itself on and off just like your refrigerator with the same quiet sound except with more air volume blowing out the top. No hot air blowing out like Ive seen reported, only between cool to above room temp.
