please don't buy this item you will be wasting your money it does not cool a room you could only use the Lost who speed it has nothing but blow hot air you have to constantly reset it in order to get cool air half the time nothing but warm air I bought this product because I thought it work for the price 135 + 167 this model does not work I wish I could get my money back but it's too late I'm just asking others not to buy this product because it does not I repeat not work properly I am a very upset customer and I don't think it's right you pay your money for something that will not work.

    Best basic unit for cooling a S-M sized room
    This is a great window unit at a great price if you have a small room that needs to be cooled. The few settings actually give you lots of temperature variability. My room faces a busy street and the sound of the AC masks traffic and is even soothing. I bought a more expensive model a few years ago that never seems to adequately cool down the apartment, but this little guy does the job and even sometimes I need to turn out down because the room gets too chilly! My only complaint is that the directions for installation were complicated and the window bracket provided was not compatible with my window which has a concrete and steel frame that couldn't be screwed into, even with a very powerful drill. These types of frames are common in NYC, so be sure to check your window and see if you'll be able to screw holes into it before purchasing a bracket. I ended up having to create my own system for supporting the back of the AC that could work with what I had.

    Little A/C packs a punch!
    The family needed a small a/c unit to combat the heat in Northern CA, and this unit delivered. It came with all of the necessary hardware to mount, with the exception of a sheet of plywood that I cut down in order to mount the unit in a horizontal-sliding vinyl window frame (a vertically-sliding frame would not need plywood). This unit works well for the space that we are in. I'm completely happy with my purchase!

    Excellent! Purchased for my upstairs bedroom that does not stay cool. First night it froze me out! I imagine it could cool off a lot more sq footage than by 150 sq ft bedroom. Highly recommend. Going to put me chase another for garage

    Small but Cool
    Live in a Mobile Home w/ Central Air but sometimes just want to cool the bedroom, this is the answer.I can turn this unit on and have cool place to sleep. Made this a built in, framed it out mounted it and then seal it tight. Works Great and saves me money. Good Price and fast shipping made this a super deal.

    Birthday gift from my Wife.
    I built a 12x20 workshop and put in insulation and drywall, and a small window in the rear. This unit cools the shop and does not make a lot of noise. I like the simple controls. I've been using it for three months, no issues at all.

    I'm a snowman and hate the heat.
    I live in a small, 2 bedroom "English basement" apartment that stays relatively cool through the humid, summer months of New England. The only exception being that my bedroom receives sun from around 10 AM to sunset, which without means to move air, can quickly turn the 12'x12' space into a hot box. Yes, I just might be a ghost. I purchased this budget AC for that room, and so far, it has almost lived up to my expectations, even though I have had to couple it with a cheap, Galaxy box fan in order to move air more efficiently. Right after installation, the air being pushed by this AC was really cold, but then again, it was also really hot outside. When running it while the outside temperatures were cooler (as I favor winter temps to summer), the AC seems to run a little warmer (but it still pulls moisture which is A ). Initially, this discrepancy had me worried that the coolant had expired, but after researching a bit, what is more likely is that the AC, even though the unit itself is manual, has an internal thermostat for self-preservation. Now, I have had this unit for over a month, and can say that on really hot days, and if I keep my bedroom door open, this tiny AC will actually cool down my entire apartment, but it needs to be running for a minimum of 2 hours. If you purchase this AC, be aware (as the picture shows) that there is a gap at the bottom. I would recommend that you set the unit on a bit of foam strip (provided inside of the crate) in order to increase efficiency. If you have packing tape and don't expect anyone to sit on your AC when you're using it, you don't need to drill holes into your windows. Just tape (with packing tape) the side panels to the sill on all four sides and you'll be as right as rain. It'll also make removal of the unit a whole lot easier. 3 out of 5 = 1 star off because I wish it would get colder than 54 degrees in my room (I know I'm crazy, but I don't care), and 1 star off because there is a weird design flaw that defies normal window construction standards.

    Great A/C for a small room!
    Pleasantly surprised with how well this works in my room. It gets cold! It cool the whole room in about 10 minutes. My room is about 15l×10w×8h; length×width×height.
