Why did I wait so long! Awesome product!
I have toyed with buying one of these for years. Not sure why I waited so long! This is a must buy if you ever stock up and freeze or store items! So easy to use! I repackaged everything in my upright freezer and gained so much room in the process. I am now waiting on the mason jar sealer so I can repackage my pantry as well. I highly recommend this item!

Will not vacuum. Bags are thin and don't seal.
After using this only once, it will not pull a vacuum! I had just bought some meat and needed to seal and freeze it so it wouldn't go bad, and my FoodSaver would not pull a vacuum at all! Even worse, it sealed the bag before any of the air was out, so it left my meat in worse shape than if I had just used a ziplock freezer bag, and wasted the FiodSaver bags inhad since I had to cut them open before even using them. Also, the bags are so much thinner than they used to be and the seal is not very good at all. The roll I recieved was wrinkled and will not hold a proper vacuum seal. Complete waste of money! This brand and products used to be top notch whereas now the quality has plummeted but the cost is the same! I woukd give 0 Stars if i could.

    Totally doesn't suck and that's what's wrong
    This is the second time I've purchased this vacuum sealer, first was on Amazon and it worked for a bit and stopped working. Then I purchased at Walmart and again, worked for a few weeks, and stopped vacuuming, now it seems to choose when it wants to work and doesn't most of the time. I will be purchasing a new one from a different brand, it's too late for me to return this one and the one I currently have is probably a return anyway. If I could give it no stars I would but the 1 star can be for the sealer because that part has been great.

    Sealed 11 bags and not 1 issue.
    I just love this unit compared to my old cheaper one that wouldn't seal 1/2 the time. It's worth the extra money. I just sealed 11 bags of beets with no issues.

    Horrible Design on Hose Connector
    Recently, the green hose adapter failed (plastic prong broke). We tried to purchase just the replacement hose. After searching the internet, we discovered this is a common failure and the hose is not available. No way to purchase a hose. Now we have a seni-worthless Foodsaver (cant use for mason jars or reusable bags).

    Have owned a vacuum sealer over 25 yrs. Wish I owned this sealer that long. Very easy to use. The locking lid eliminates the need for a lot of physical effort. Pre-cut bags simplify

    Great value for additional features
    This is a very good value and has several additional features when compared to other models that are similar or slightly less in price. -We like that we have the option of using larger bags, it can fit 11", compared to the standard 8" bags. -This also has an accessory hose to suck air out of different kinds of containers and dry goods. -It is possible to stop vacuum function early to prevent moisture of food being sucked out too much or to allow a little breathing room for things like bread or baked goods. -You can use the sealing option alone and do not need to use the vacuum. This will save on the wear of the vacuum over the lifetime of the item. -Has a removable drip tray which makes for easy clean up. -Quietest one we have had so far. -Small and compact. Easy to leave on a countertop or store in a drawer.

    Great machine
    This is a great product for the price. I had the larger model before that would make bags with the rolls. This one you have to cut a bag, seal it & then out in the food to vacuum seal but uses both large & small bags. Also has the attachment to seal ziplocks & containers. I love this one.

    So I purchased my food saver years ago and boast a out it repeatedly. However recenty I purchased one as a gift to discover it only comes with a hose the chamber is not included, so what was your point on that decision. Had I not herm there when the gift was given there is no way they would have even noticed it was to be used in order to utilize your hose. This was the most embarrassing gift and after i boasted some much about it. I end up returning bcuz the store i got it from had no idea about a chamber accessory. Even the manual had a picture with the chamber attached to the hose
